Since download, CK2 either runs fine without the mod appearing in the launcher or crashes, complaining of an inability to create a graphic files. I can only find the same error occurring in beta versions of EUIV.

I wonder if the graphics in the mod are so much more complex that my computer can't run them? It doesn't seem so, based on the pictures I've seen.

Are you running cosmetic DLCs? Because those may be needed or may need to be disabled.

I've begun an Ironman game as Sviatopolk Rurikid, count of some shitty province called Zyaragoe (or somesuch) on the border of Novgorod and Finland, vassal of his brother the High Chief of Novgorod and legitimized bastard son of the Duke of Kiev.

We begin in September 15th, 1066; by July of 1067, close ally of the nascent Rurikid dynasty Harold Hardrade has died unexpectedly and his son Olav II does not press their claim to England. Meanwhile, I have absolutely no options to do much of anything, which means of course I need to mass my troops (all 200 of 'em!) for war on the pagans while I wait for daddy to die. When that occurs, I'll inherit some three provinces near Hungary and become independent. Unfortunately, I have an Intrigue score of 3, meaning I can't kill him now.

This game could either get really interesting or go absolutely nowhere. Probably the second.

EU4 is all for me, i have CK2 but i just don't have enough time to figure out how it works exactly.
Tried the Slik Road achievement for a few days with the Ottomans lately. Failed drasticly duo to rebel uprisings everywhere with rebel armies ranging from 40K to 70K in numbers. I had 250K when the first rebels popped up, halfway i had 360K and when i gave up i had some armies fleeing but nothing really left that was worth the effort. I was already at 1780 and still had to fight wars against France for the Silk province they held in India.

Fun mod, that. So far I've been playing as Soissons and the Eastern Roman Empire, though I'll probably try some others at different points. Soissons has turned to Priscillianism, and the ERE can potentially become Hellenic if at some point I educate an heir with a Hellenic character, which I may. I also put most of Italy under a Roman ruler descended from a line of former Western Roman Emperors, the remaining part that isn't, being under Theodoric Amal. And back to the Soissons one, the Vandals have become African Romance, whilst the Hunas have conquered most of Persia with over a hundred thousand men. The Goths are up forging an empire in Siberia, and the Heruli are doing likewise, bordering the Slavic Rus. The Goths and Heruli both having armies hundreds of thousands strong. The Saxons rule as Groethd or whatever, ruling a fair bit of Germany, whilst the Ascarings of Flanders have conquered most of Rheged, which in turn had most of Wales and England. The Merovingians collapsed earlier, and their most powerful nation is that of Uerirstine or however it's spelt. The Visigoths have lost most of southern France to another member of the ruling dynasty, only for him to be succeeded by some Alagon.

You could play an Aztec lord in Mexico and sacrifice your enemies to the gods, you could reclaim the Americas as a Native American/First Nations character, you could begin as an Americanist character and try to establish an East Coast Empire, you could be an Atomicist tribesman in New Mexico, you could make the Anglophones pay as a Quebecois noble... the options are endless, really.

I've been playing the AGOT mod on CK2.

I started with a custom character, Highlord Edmore of House Arryn. A patient cynical genius with hedonistic tendencies. He was also a master schemer, rude, lustful and of course, ruthless.

The game was set at the start of the War of the Five Kings, the Young Wolf was mustering his forces and the Baratheon brothers were moving against the Iron force.

As the high lord of Strongsong, Edmore sought to expand his power and take advantage of the coming war. First he sought a wife, seeking the hand of Sansa Stark with the intent to ally with the Iron Throne should the deal go through.

King Joffery agreed to the arrangement, only to change his mind and execute Sansa a little over a week later. Misfortune would continue to plague Edmore as his only surviving relative, Lord Paramount Robert of the Vale, suffered a terrible accident when his carriage went off a cliff. After being crowned the new Paramount Lord of the Vale and Warden of the East Edmore turned instead to the Reach, marrying Margery Tyrell and taking his bastard son Hugh Stone into his care.

Despite having attained greater power, Lord Edmore elected to remain neutral in the ongoing conflict that was shattering the kingdom. Instead he worked to strengthen his hold over his new position and produce a legitimate male heir to inherit his holdings, a task he would accomplish five years, and several bastards and daughters, later.

Peace in the Eire was shattered when the lords of Ironoaks and Hearts Home joined the Iron Throne in its war against the King in the North, enraged Edmore summoned his remaining banners and declared for the King in the North against the Iron Throne. 10,000 Valemen joined 12,000 Northmen to smash the King's army of 32,000 in the Battle of Harrenhal, driving the Iron Throne from the Riverlands.

Just over a month later Renly Baratheon "the Elegant" took Kings Landing and installed himself on the Iron Throne, imprisoning Joffery ( now known as Lannister), Tyrion, and Tywin. Jamie Lannister died from a severe maiming during the fall of the city and Cersei fled, only the son of Tyrion remained and he quickly declared his allegiance to the King in the North. The war of Northern Succession was quickly concluded after that, with four of the seven kingdoms leaving the Iron Throne.
