It's not jumping to conclusions as much as it's gauging the show off of the society that produced it.

Sure Western culture is quite obvious but Western world has more than just USA.


Duh. "Western Culture" as we know it began with the Greeks, and includes Europe. But the United States is the bastion of Western Culture in the modern world.

Ever heard of Keynesian Economics? Just because they don't have pure free-markets doesn't mean they aren't capitalistic. (And no, I'm not assuming they actually practice Keynesian economics, I'm just pointing out that successful mixed markets economies are still for the most part capitalistic.)
