Well, I guess 7 has more significance in Western culture, so I'm okay with that.

I doubt they'd do that.

Lesson idea: Celestia throws someone random in and says she's to be their friend. Twi and co try to find a reason and in the process they find 7th element, and the lesson is something like you might find something completely new that you couldn't imagine even in your wildest dreams or something.

Not too terrible of an idea. Before the Crystal Empire episode came out, there was a toy set with the Mane 6 of that theme with a green male pony called "Emerald Sky". Maybe they'll finally do something with him in Season 5.

I don't like the part about Celestia randomly throwing in someone, but it's a decent idea.

Wouldn't #7 being a male create a larger amount of stuff to do and explore than just another female?

Twilight was destined to be the Element of Magic, nopony's going to replace her.

So what should the Seventh Element be? Principle?

Also, fun pony ragtime.

Isn't it, though? It's essentially a pseudo North America (minutes the fact that it's monarchial). Manehattan, Fillydelphia, Baltimare, Vanhoover, Las Pegasus, etc.

It might be a good motivation for the show to revisit some of its more broken themes and deconstruct them and then reconstruct them in a more rigorous way.

It's not just superficial. They all speak english with American accents, adhere relatively to capitalistic principles, and are for the most part individualistic.

They speak English with American accents because the show is produced in America with American VAs. That's not enough to jump into conclusions. Sure Western culture is quite obvious but Western world has more than just USA.

The show is a case of social democracy. Not capitalism.
