I think he also wanted a massive army of wolves fighting the undead too.

We couldn't even get a doggo hug, that would have completely blown the budget, but somehow Nymera saving Arya would have been OK if done right.

Upon further review, this read a lot more sarcastic than intended.

Btw, after further review. Mrs mermania is full on board with bran is now the blood raven theory. She says upon her further review, it is mostly based on the books and not the series, but she now has jumped on that bandwagon with both feet.

Last I heard the director of that episode wanted to kill everyone . But D&D said no

There could've been so many organic character deaths to happen in that episode.

Book!SUMMER ate zombies, the meat was a bit rancid, but it was mostly regular food.

Interweb makes a big deal that Jon Snow is the one true king of Targaryen blood-line.

Bolleaux! Danny nukes King's Landing. She proves she is the true heir of the mad king AND she reminds everybody why Westeros rebelled against Targaryens in the first place.

It's strange. It's part (fictional) history book, part family biography, part novel. It does get kinda difficult keeping everyone's names straight but as you get more into it I think it gets better or that's what I thought, may have just been me getting used to the style.

That's supposed to be a mystery, don't think the books will ever address what happened.

Also, I thought that the Targ's were supposed to be the only family left with platinum hair and violet eyes, but apparently they're not (?) because House Velaryon also has those traits.

Suffice it to say, meth labs and dragons do not mix.

They certainly aren't the only ones with those features. Even excluding House Velaryon, there are a lot of people in some of the Free Cities, especially in Lys, who have Valyrian blood in their veins and have the Valyrian traits.

The Targs are however the last of the Valyrian dragonlord families. The Velaryions have an old and noble Valyrian lineage, as do the members of House Celtigar, but neither of them were dragonlords back when Valyria was still around.

i think it was a combination of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions that fucked Valyria up.

My theory is that one of the old dragons had the special Cleganebowl sauce with his chicken. There was too much HYPE in the sauce for him, and soon his digestive system could not withstand it. The dragon knew he had to get to the bathroom quickly, but all of them were taken. In a last ditch gambit, the dragon used an extinct volcanic tunnel system as his throne. Unfortunately the sheer amount of HYPE exiting his bum smashed through the walls of the tunnels and connected with hot spots and active volcanic fissures all around Valyria. This predictably caused a massive chain reaction which basically made Valyria a really big undersea mountain range.

What do you think?

But...like...why? I mean, beyond "Stannis is a cool, iron-willed badass."

Because hereditary monarchy? Because strict and brutal enforcement of the law? Because religious intolerance? Because setting people on fire?!

As conclusions go, that's hardly better than "the people who fight for justice are actually secretly the worst monsters of all, so let's just keep things much the same."

Well apart from the fact he's the rightful king by birth right.

He is just:

Then rise again, Davos Seaworth, and rise as Lord of the Rainwood, Admiral of the Narrow Sea, and Hand of the King.'
For a moment Davos was too stunned to move. I woke this morning in his dungeon. 'Your Grace, you cannot I am not fit man to be a King's Hand.'
'There is no man fitter.' Stannis sheathed Lightbringer, gave Davos his hand, and pulled him to his feet.
'I am lowborn,' Davos reminded him. 'An up jumped smuggler. your lords will never obey me.'
'Then we will make new lords.'

Also "setting people on fire"

“A sacrifice will prove our faith still burns true, Sire,” Clayton Suggs had told the king. And Godry the Giantslayer said, “The old gods of the north have sent this storm upon us. Only R’hllor can end it. We must give him an unbeliever.”
“Half my army is made up of unbelievers,” Stannis had replied. “I will have no burnings. Pray harder.”

Who would you rather sit on the throne? The bastards of Lannister incest? Daenrys? Who is a descendant of the mad king? Stannis is better than any other of the claimants to the Iron throne.

Oh yes because the Targayrens have always been fair rulers right? Ask the victims of the Mad King if they want another Dragon being on the Throne.

The small folk were treated like shit no matter who ruled, they dont care. By the rights of inheritance, the throne belongs to her, Jon didnt want it.

What about a House of Commons that can begin to put some limitations on the power of the throne, which goes to...maybe...someone nice?

Or we could bang on about people's ancestors. That's good too, I guess.

Exactly. The Targayrens are invaders and tyrants who have no place ruling over anything.

Danny's right of inheritance stopped existing the second Jaime Lannister's sword went through Ares 2nd's back. The Targayrens no longer rule the seven kingdoms, the Baratheons do, so if anything Stannis has the right of inheritance because Robert's children are bastards born of incest.

Robert was a usurper from the rightful but mad king. By right of inheritance, and right of conquest Dany is the one true queen.

Robert was right in rebelling against that murderous lunatic, he believed his wife was kidnapped and all attempts at peace ended when Brandon and Rickard Stark were killed. The Targayrens are invaders and dictators, they don't deserve to rule Westeros or anything else at that matter, the only man who does is Stannis who is the one true king.
