Actually, I think the Karstark girl is still alive. At least we didn't see her die.

But yeah, all these nuclear families with single dads and only childs in the TV series are not going to do the survival of their ancient feudal houses any favors.

She went with Theon and the Ironborn to defend bran, and since he was the last man standing i assume she died. Also says they died on the game of thrones wiki

Honestly Ben would probably be a decent king. I mean one he was an accountant and state auditor for some time so he is good with finances. He managed Pawness pretty well as city manager and became a congressman so he is knowledgeable of politics and civil administration. Like I know this is a joke and I am taking this way to seriously but Ben with some competent advisers might actually be a decent leader.
