He has acted like an idiot over the last 2 seasons a couple of times, but i still like him

He acted like an idiot in Season 5 as well. His idea was to work out a deal with the Slaver Masters and solve the riddle of the Harpy, when the correct approach would have been to simply burninate them all.

So how exactly does the fact the small folk did not revolt against Cersi justify Dany killing thousands of them after they gave up?

Honestly... who cares.

She had the power, she chose to use it to kill a bunch of filthy peasants and now she's the antagonist (because we as a 21st century audience have this notion that using weapons to deliberately target civilians is wrong unless when the USA does it with nukes in WWII).

The mechanics work fine with me.

I'm not sure it has much emotional stakes (considering how EVERY major siege in Westerosi history ended with mass rape and murder) and since we weren't really shown ANYTHING GOOD about the people of KL but if it gets from Point A to Point B so we can end with a Jon vs Danny, then I'm okay with it.

But at no point did I feel sorry for KL at all.

Both Hiroshima and Nagasaki were major military industrial centers. The difference is nukes are indiscriminate while
Dragons don’t have to be.

I find the whole Hiroshima and Nagasaki’s civilian casualties were merely “collateral” because the target was military (or in some way unintended) extremely insincere

Surprisingly I’m starting to like Jon this season. Many moments involving him in S8 were unintentionally kind of funny.

Michiel Huisman, the actor who played Daario Naharis, was busy filming The Haunting of Hill House during the beginning of season 8's filming. He's probably not going to be making an appearance, but S8 filming did last until June last year, so there's still a chance, but I highly doubt it.

Kings Landing gets Sacked by the Lannisters in Roberts Rebellion
City gets assaulted by a Baratheon Army led by King Stannis in the battle of Blackwater bay and a bit of it gets burnt down/fucked up
City is starving to death until the Tyrells show up
City falls prey to rampant zealotry and bullshit with the Sparrows and the power struggle between the Tyrells and Lannisters
Equivalent of the Vatican gets fucking nuked with tens of thousands dying fiery deaths
They all flee into the city because of the targaryen invasion and then the city gets wiped off the face of the earth in the inevitable attack on the city by Daenerys
