Don't we all.

Man, a Warhammerized Star Wars would be pretty cool.

I suppose some portions of the EU are similar.

But if we could just get the same sense of conflict, and death.

And it'd be cool to see big, armored jedi runnin' round 8)

I'm not too big a fan of armored Jedi...I prefer the Luke Skywalker in Episode 6 look.

Well, tbh the jedi armor set was one of the cooler costumes in TFU: II (A terrible game).

Really, I favor the sparsely armored look, where they have a few pieces of lightweight armor.

I would HATE a "Warhammer" Star Wars.

Warhammer is depressing as shit and boring to me; there's no variety in thought or action.

Shit, they did that already: Yuuzhan Vong, anyone?

I specifically like Star Wars because it's big and broad and diverse in opinion and race and philosophy and HOPEFUL for the future.

Star Wars is less broad than you think.

The entire Original Trilogy, and much of the EU encompasses almost all traits of Buddhism.

Warhammer lore gets worse every year, yeah.

That's it. I'm making some fanart.

Yeah...But in the Warhammer RPG you can play as a guy who can arrest ANYONE for Heresy :P ...I'm going to have fun with that :P

That being said, I would like the Star Wars universe better than Warhammer 40k, but all the canon changes of recent memory have kinda driven me away from Star Wars. It's rather frustrating.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Star Wars have this plot for a super weapon created by this super super super ancient race once?

Wasn't that created by the Rakata? I swear there's a older race in the EU comics.

The Rakata, if I recall correctly, were the first race to create an intergalactic empire.

But then again, the canon's been changed so much that I really wouldn't know for sure at this point.

Yeah, they enslaved a lot. Plus, used the Dark Side.

Technically, the Star Forge is not so much a superweapon as it is a superupgrade for force-adepts and force-users.

They are, in many ways.

The Rakata were the first to create an intergalactic empire. Their Infinite Empire expanded the entirety of the galaxy. They were rather progressive when it came to other Rakata, but treated other races like dirt, enslaving them to build great works like the Star Forge. I think they're fascinating because they were more amoral than Light or Dark side. They saw morality in a continuum; they could be your best friend or your worst enemy depending on the situation. They're fatalists when it comes to morality: if betraying you would benefit them, their race, or more people than you, then they will betray you. It's also terrifying to realize they conquered the whole fucking galaxy, a feat that has yet to be achieved by any other race fully. Not just the half-assed hegemony the Empire had during the Skywalker days or the Mandalorian's Mongolian bullshit, but total, complete technological domination over ENTIRE RACES.

Later on, they became more like the Mandalorians and became obsessed with conquest. From Wookiepedia:

They were known to strip entire planets of their resources, terraform worlds to fit their own shifting needs, kill entire slave workforces, and to eat and defile the bodies of slain enemies

TL;DR

Kwa show up with SW equivalent of Star Gates. (They were pretty much the first advanced force users)

Rakata are on Lehon, and seem primitive and honorable. The Kwa enlighten them to the ways of the force.

The Rakata are hardcore and get better at using the force. They sit the Kwa down on their asses, and crush their empire. They take over all the territory the Kwa held, and through their initiative and reverse engineering created technology thousands of years ahead of their time. They create the Star Forge to make this even easier. They enslave the entire galaxy (literally)

But because they're so greedy and selfish, millennia of internal struggles come to a climax and the empire is divided into tiny fractions by a massive civil war. Everybody else takes advantage of this, and between the Rakatans fighting each other and other species joining in, the Rakata go almost extinct, and the remnant retreats back to Lehon.

Apparently they fought with spears and not guns against people with guns.

And won.

To be fair, the Tusken Raiders are living way too comfortably for the amount of people they probably pissed off in the past and they have primitive technology.

To be fair, the Mandalorians really weren't out to make an Empire. They're not administrators. They were more like...Aggressive explorers...Yeah, that's it :P

And from what I've seen on maps of the Rakata Empire, they, like most Empires, didn't penetrate into the Unknown Regions much. http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2009 ... _Atlas.jpg

No one is, but I'm thinking they're more bad-ass than other races.

I'm baffled as to how they've survived as a species this far, quite frankly, which makes me think they're bad-ass.

As far as I'm concerned, Revan is the most powerful force-user in the Star Wars universe, even if he didn't get the whole immortality thing down like Plagueis or Sidious.

Except for maybe Yoda...
