Question: What do you think would happen if Anakin killed Obi-Wan during their battle?

My Theory: After Anakin kills Obi-Wan he sees Palpatine's ship lands and goes meets him, Palpatine congratulates Anakin for killing Obi-Wan and gives him a red lightsaber. But Anakin wanting to become Emperor strikes Palpatine down with both lightsabers and kills him in the process and since Palpatine is dead Anakin becomes the new Emperor of the Galactic Empire.

I don't think Anakin has the political standing nor the political savviness to be anything but a dumbass. Maybe Anakin might be just Palpy's apprentice for a decade or so, but soon his mind and feelings (might) mature and perhaps he'd start planning Palpy's overthrow.

I find that I may only talk shit about EA's Battlefront. Not just because of external pressures, but also because of internal pressures. My brain says that it is shit, my heart says that it is shit, and my anus, which knows shit very well, says that it is shit.

EA BFII must be highly redeemable for me to say anything about EA BF besides that it is shit. Although the first EA BF will always be shit to me.

On the surface it seems to have markedly improved, but I'm only going to get the game if the reviews are good a few weeks after, or if my mates get it. I can forgive more flaws when playing with friends.

I was playing EA BF with a friend once, and even though I had someone else to play the game with, it got boring and bland real quick. The next one better put in fun stuff, I swear.

Throw away dialogue tells us that the Mon Calamari cruisers weakened the shields, and there's an earlier scene where rebel fighters hit the shield generators.

But it's all just a theory in your head. There's no source that says Kylo could use telekinesis only some of the time because of blood loss. It's something that's part of your fanon.

Problem is you're using your fanon in a debate about why something in universe happened. You can't do that without a source. So if someone dares to suggest that maybe there are issues with VII's writing you can't just use your fanon to defend it. It can be the reason why you think the movie is O B J E C T I V E L Y perfect, but you can't say that this idea in your head is proof of anything.

Why can't Kylo move a lightsaber if he can throw a grown woman into a tree just a minute prior is a valid question. You can't just throw fan theories at it to stifle discussion, particularly when said fan theories are not consistent with how things generally work in Star Wars.

For the record, I don't think the movie is objectively perfect, that's an impossibility for starters.

Flying is an easy one, she was raised by the guy that owned the junk yard, you think she was never sent to do maintenance or scavenging on his ships, or even helped or watched him fly into position. She also explicitly states "I've flown some ships before". Also she crashes into all sorts.

Her skills with a lighsaber are explained by both having combat experience and not actually displaying much saber skill in the first place. I mean, that end fight is no Kenobi v Maul.

Her adventuring motivations make sense to me. Training is obvious.

Force powers don't seem an issue to me, everything she does is built upon what she's seen or been shown.

Not sure how believing Finn is a measure of intelligence. What's the context there?

Her goal is touched on in the movie a lot actually. She's obviously desperate to find her parents and she's clearly hoping that they'll come back for her. Part of her story is coming to the realisation that there's a very real possibility that they are not, and that she needs to let go of her childhood dreams. After which, she's kind of purposeless and so latches onto the closest meaning she can find in the Resistance's struggle and her developing powers

We don't know that Rey hasn't had Force training, given that she has a Mysterious Past^TM. She definitely has had plenty of time to practise hand to hand combat, even if she never received any formal training in how to use her staff.
