Well, if Rex in around 20 or 25 during the Clone Wars then by Return of the Jedi he should be in his fifties or sixties. By the time he's introduced in Rebels, which takes place around ten years before RoTJ, he seems to be in his forties.

If they age twice as fast than twenty three years would be forty six years for them. Add that to their age at the start of the war and they'd be in their late sixties. Some would still be around.

I think the old EU (stuff after the Battle of Endor, and not including the Yuuzhan Vong) sounds kinda more interesting. It seems like they built up a few new trilogies for themselves, and going by all the new stuff introduced to me by Thrawn's Revenge (mod for Empire At War) I think I'd accept the general flow of events as generally realistic, while also letting the good guys win (which the OT was all about. Except for Episode Five, of course.) It also introduced many different factions and many different ships and species. Tech and choice of ships didn't stagnate because you had to get one over on your opponent. The Sun Crusher? No. But the Sovereign-class Star Dreadnoughts are cool as fuck. (+ I get to use them in T'sR.)

The designs of the MC80bs and MC90s though? Literally look like shit.

Okay I can't argue with those points. Still not changing my mind though. Even if only from a personal standpoint of nostalgia.

Wish they kept the original voice, tbh. I liked it better.

Although the voice is more easily explained as being different than a Maori guy turning into a clearly white guy.

Yeah...this sort of weirdness is what happens when you change a character after he's been established. Poor Jeremy Bulloch. :)

Plus that white guy is pretty tanned...he could pass. :)
