Obi-Wan Kenobi is the Jean-Luc Picard of space.
He's an ambassador, a scholar, and a stone-cold pimp.

The last one you described Obi Wan as was spot on.
Alright so back to the debate over Dooku vs Windu nobody would like to contest me that Dooku would win in an all out battle?

Actually, didn't Obi-Wan act as a diplomat on a few occasions? And he's a Jedi, so he has to have done research for something. I forgot soldier, too, since he operated in that capacity for the Republic.
I think it's sad Windu ended up being such a disposable character... And played by Sam Jackson, of all goddamn people. And Dooku, however bad ass Christopher Lee played him, was nothing more than a patsy.
I really don't see the point in comparing them since they both fulfilled differing roles in the canon.

But we're not comparing them as characters just in Lightsaber combat and force powers.

No, not the shitty 3D animation we've been seeing.
Japanese animation.

Have you ever seen the original clone wars series?
That series was horrible. So was the art.
It was written by Lucas the same time he was making the prequels.
The animation was not done by a reputable Japanese studio.
The art style was very westernized, and while this is not inherently a bad quality the art style was really shitty.

I thought it was actually pretty damn good along with its storyline. I guess it's just different tastes.

It was entertaining.
Just not good enough.
I'm not looking for a retelling of the clone wars, with a slight twist.
I want an original plot. Some Old Republic or EU stuff. Or just shit going on in another part of the galaxy during the Imperial timeline or Rise of the Empire.
Get Production IG, Kyoto Animation or Madhouse to do all the animation. Hire the best writers you can.
Of course, now that Disney's got SW that will never happen

You mean the Dark Empire series? Yes that would have been my top choice for the new trilogy. That or the Thrawn movies.....
No I didn't mean Dark Empire.
Heir to the Empire is the first book in the Thrawn Trilogy, and what I've always heard that series referred to as.

I'm sure its awesome to those who have read it.

New original action cartoons, are a very tough sell in the current media climate while Star Wars and DC properties are probably safe bets going forward.
