How do you know how many Inquisitors there are? Is it just based on the named ones? Just because we only see a few doesn't mean that there aren't any more.

It doesn't mean there are more either.

Probably half the population of Coruscant is unaccounted for. When a planet just has that many people on it the Empire can't keep track of them all. Even in the age of the Empire no one knew how many people lived on a Coruscant exactly, and you think this Empire can run blood tests on all of them? The other core worlds are little different.

I dissagree. Simply make life without having your blood tested hell an you'll even reach the population you can't account for.
Most citizens on the core worlds are law-abiding citizens. I doubt those will become off-grid gutter scum because they have to take a blood test.

Palpatine does exterminate force users like vermin. There's a middle ground between no force sensitives allowed and force sensitives encouraged. Those are the Inquisitors. Most are hunted down though. Also keep in mind that most people can't really use the force without training. So long as there are no force sensitive orders around that Palpatine doesn't approve of most force sensitives just can't threaten Palpatine. He only has to worry about the strongest ones.

Sure, but his approach lets strong force-sensitives, like Bridger, slip through the cracks.

I'm not saying there definitely are more Inquisitors, I'm just saying that there could be more. You are saying that there definitely aren't more Inquisitors because if there were then there would be no plot hole. You need a source then that says how many Inquisitors there are.

The Empire barely exists on a great many worlds. It doesn't even know how many people live on the ecumenopolis core worlds. How's it going to have the bureaucratic skills to blood test everyone? How's it going to enact policies that make it hell for people who aren't blood tested? It can't even get census data on everyone in the Empire. You overestimate the Empire's reach.

Your talking in circles here. Everyone would need to get blood tested for your plan to work and you're asking a civilization so bureaucratically inept that it couldn't manage a census to do this. It makes no sense why you think it's even possible. The Empire's ineptitude is why the rebellion even exists. It's an important plot point of the series and just saying it isn't so doesn't change that.

The plot hole is that no one actually uses the knowledge of midochlorians, but they simply say: They exist.
It's like saying water exists but never using it.

Your whole defense is basically this: There could be a large number of inquisitors.

There also could be a large number of invisible, undetectable unicorns in Star Wars.
"There could be more" really doesn't mean anything.
Sure, there could be more, but as long as you don't see any more, as long as nobody (in-universe) mentions there are more, one should assume there aren't.

Not everyone. Most of the people.
Which is doable.

If people only used solutions that are 100% foolproof, there wouldn't be much happening.
I believe the blood method would find more force-sensitive people than the current one.

And the empire isn't bureaucratically inept.
They are able to build moon-sized weapons of mass-destruction, massive star destroyers and maintain the largest navy in the universe.
This requires massive amounts of recources.
Who makes sure those get where they are needed?
The bureaucracy.
There tactics and strategies might need some work, but their bureaucracy works.
It might not be the most efficient or the best. But it works.
I wouldn't call them bureaucratically inept.

The Empire's ineptitude is why the rebellion even exists.

The rebellion exists because the empire stomps on everyone that doesn't support them (and some that do) and because they tend to do morally questionable things.
The mere existence of rebellion isn't a sign of ineptitude.

Rebels aren't easily wiped out.
Crush ten and there's another one that was hiding under a rock.

If anything there's relatively little rebellion.
Think about it, where did all the seperatists go?

It's an important plot point of the series and just saying it isn't so doesn't change that.
