Well I ended up buying FX-8350 and Samsung 850 EVO to transfer OS into, but I am not sure if I should make clean install or use migration software by Samsung. I'd have a install disc for Win7, and I cut lot of data from old HDD to go under 500GB, but I am on a fence for some reason.

There is nothing against another hard disk, if your computer supports multiple drives, or even an external hard disk.

Is there a way to recover a lost Word document? I did one for an assignment and I made sure to save it (I had to do it several times so I wouldn't forget), but now that I reopened Word, it says that there are no recent documents and I cannot find it anywhere.

Maybe check the recycle bin to see if you accidentally deleted it

If you know the name of your document by memory, open up a command line prompt and do a "where" query for that particular file, or if you don't remember it, do a "where" query for the extension as a *.xxx (usually docx if you leave the file format alone in the "save" prompt) across the entire file tree.

What are some tips for making a website more visually appealing. I am working on my own and I got it working, but it looks bland.

Work with CSS and layers. Also, a simple design is often better than a complex one. The purpose of design on a site, in my opinion, is to draw your audience to the content and to make the site easy to use.

But then you will hear as many opinions on website design as there are web designers out there.

I know some CSS, but I could never seem to get borders to work. If you want, I can present you with what I have so far on GitHub.

I really hate Windows Update with a passion. So far as Windows 7 goes, it is bad. I even installed this patch that is supposed to make the process go faster, didn't help much. Wasted an entire day today, trying to get every software patch to download and install. It's a mystery to me why Windows Update takes such an eternity to scan, download, or install. Linux does this so much better than any Windows OS I've used.

KB4038777 (was 198.5 MB) refused to finish downloading- got stuck at 95% with no progress thereafter. Even though it went from 0 to 95% in 2 hours, but hung for 3 hours; not even a percent of progress, despite Task Manager claiming that the process was still running just fine.

I wound up killing the task and manually installing it via a standalone MSU installer. Intentionally not using the Windows Update client that comes with the Windows 7 OS and it downloaded and installed substantially faster. This leads me to believe that Windows Update simply can't handle large file downloads or installs.

The wait and lag time is ridiculous and it seems I can't trust it to be able to perform its function given that it can hang or go super slow at any time. My laptop is unusable when too much CPU is devoted to this background process for too long, causes a lot of heat. It appears it'd still be much faster for me to go out of my way to consult the Microsoft Update Catalog website and find and manually download and install any KB numbers I need.

I knew it was naive for me to jump in to High Sierra right now: as with all new releases there are bizarre bugs to iron out, but not that serious in terms of security.

Disclaimer: I also use Windows and Ubuntu.

Regardless of what browser you choose, there are going to be some trade offs. This is a space entirely ruled by market share. For better or worse, the world has collectively decided that Google Chrome should be dominant. I usually keep multiple different browsers to use each for different tasks, but use one or two as my main. Also to cover most of the market share. As such, I have no choice but to at least have Google Chrome but not necessarily use it as my main.

Pale Moon is a Firefox clone that I've come to like, it does its best to remain relevant while still having an emphasis on supporting more legacy features as opposed to being the most cutting edge. It might fit your needs but it might not. There are only but a handful of browsers with enough market share to be practical for displaying most websites without issue, chances are you already know of them.

What case is it? Swapping them isn't hard in most. And in general, fans are cheap.

Ah, fair enough. Might be worth buying a new one, then. There are some solid not-too-expensive ones around these days as well.

Personally, I would invest in a simple design like the Corsair ones. I went for the 200R because I didn't want fancy designs that would prove detrimental to space management later.

For me it is just the hardware that matters.

IT Dependa on what you want from a browser. Personally, I’d recommend Brave. It is developed by Brendan Eich and has a strong emphasis on privacy and security, and very good at that, might be better than Firefox. The downside is that it is still being developed, so there may not be as many features that up may be used to. It also uses Google as it’s default search engine, which is odd, considering the goal of the browser, although you can change it, of course.

It built around Chromium, which can be either a good or bad thing, depending on your preference.

I really like Brave, but for now I’m sticking with Vivaldi, which is essentially a new and improved Opera.
