If you aren't getting 60 FPS on max settings 1440p then you aren't trying hard enough

Max settings. That includes FXAA, SSAA and MSAA. Also can't forget anisotropic although that doesn't take much GPU power.

It literally took SLI Titans to get solid 60 FPS at 1440p with all settings at the maximum.

I really don't believe these incoming reports for the GTX 880, considering that they cite that the 880 will have a 256-bit memory bus.

Never believe them.
250w of power draw? No way. 750Ti shows that that is too high.
I don't know about 4GB, though I doubt it.
Maxwell is supposedly out this summer, IMHO. So we'll see then.
I just hope the 880Ti is released with the rest of the cards. If it comes out months after the first wave of cards, I'll just wait until Q1 2015 for some R9 390x power.

I have found out that I can order parts from Amazon.com in order to get the cheaper US prices rather than pay the inflated Canadian prices, even taking the exchange rate into consideration.

I would agree that OS X is worse. You don't have to use the new interface in Windows 8 if you don't want to.

You don't have to. You just type the name of the program you want in the Search box or create a shortcut on the desktop. Or better yet, you can install a free start menu, which takes about as long as it does to install a web browser.
