At least with MS-DOS you wouldn't have to scramble around for files and such.

Lol you're not a very good troll.

1. MS-DOS was launched 1981, GUI wasn't a thing.
2. Without MS-DOS framework, your computer wouldn't be able to execute anything.

1: I'd rather have no GUI than W8's GUI.
2: That hasn't been true since Windows NT replaced it in Windows 2000.

Who gives a damn if it was released 33 years ago?
It doesn't change the fact that it is totally unsupported, and doesn't have a GUI.

Have you ever used it? Just because it doesn't look shiny and new doesn't mean it isn't one of the best damn operating systems ever released.

By today's standards, and for what I use it sucks ass.

Again, have you ever used it?
It's just as resourceful (if not moreso) than Windows 9x/NT, and miles and miles ahead of Windows 8 (which, for all intents and purposes, is really just Windows CE)

Just because the operating system itself is text-based doesn't mean graphical programs can't run in it.
How do you think 3D games worked before Windows came out?

Nor can I use remote desktop connect, and DOS doesn't have Hyper-V either.

I suppose if you aren't actually going to use your computer than you might want something more specialized, but that's a strange niche and really not that notable.

Let me tell you why UEx and in general games won't work.

Maybe if you have six of them all on one board in a hex-Crossfire setup you might be able to get 30 FPS on Crysis 3
