Weird. I tried to open it in a new window, but that didn't do it either.

Doubtful- I'm posting from a computer I never use Discord on, due to it not being mine. Curious.

In 7th? You can use both Eldar and Dark Eldar, though I don't think you could use both together.

I might be wrong about that second part.

I don't know if the deets for 8th are out yet for you to know. I'll flip through my core rulebook when I finish this research paper but I don't recall there being an ally/foe chart in there. Or rules on the subject of Harlequins in general.

Harlequins, CWE and Dark Eldar all have the AELDARI keyword, which means you can field them inside the same detachement, or in multiple detachements to get those Craftworld and/or Kabal special rules.

Apologies for my digression but, for Guard players, what's your favorite Guard army? Krieg all the way for me. I love the backstory and WW1 influence.

The 79th St. Mango Dragoon Guards (yellow jacketed mordian mechanized infantry) and the 138th St. Mungo light infantry (mix of catachans, cadians and various other odds and ends).

As for an actual cannon unit then it has to the the Tanith first and only followed by the tallarn dudes because lawrence of arabia.

I'm currently running Valhallans and Catachans and have a Praetorian detachement in the making.

With the exception of Cadia, who I find too bland to identify with, they all have their charms. The one regiment I'd buy last would probably be the Vostroyans though, as I find their models too elaborate and over-ornate for a horde army.

I dont actually play the game, but im a huge fan of the Valhallans, always loved their red army style uniforms and gear. Though the Vostroyans have grown on me quite a lot as well ever since i saw them in a white dwarf magazine years ago

Originally had a Valhallan army and love the Commissar Cain stories.

But lean towards liking the Tanith more.

Tanith 1st need models to make them an actual army... I'd have bought the shit out of them over the Cadians I have any day.

Steel Legion, mechanized infantry are my fetish.

Non-Codex alternatives though...? Vitrian Dragoons, from Gaunt's Ghosts. Almost too much honor and "we fight our wars based entirely on what this book says but you can't read it or I have to kill you". But they have neat-o armor and their Middle Eastern thing is cool.

Also, they really want to kill you. I always kind of imagined them like a cross between Janissaries and Gurkha's.

I mean, they kinda do? It's only a single squad though. If you were dedicated though, get some 28mm alternates from another wargame that look similar enough, get some model camo-netting from your local hobby shop, and get to work.
