They don't look like they belong anywhere, maybe it's just a me thing (it probably is) but I've always felt like the other Army's felt like they belonged. Catachan, Steel Legion, Kreig, Praetorians, Chem Dogs, Vostroyan, Valhallan, etc. felt like they had substance to them. Cadian's just feel like models and that's it.
Probably because they are the one Regiment that isn't based on a particular human culture/historical conflict. Catachans are 'Nam, Krieg are WW1 trench warfare, Praetorians are British Empire, Valhallans are Stalingrad Russians etc etc. Cadians are...generic Sci-Fi.
Somebody has to be the bland, average guy, after all. Kinda like the Black Legion is for Chaos, or how the Ultramarines were for Space Marines before Matt Ward turned them into his personal fanboy project.
