Getting into the game now. Got my first 1000pts/50 power army bought. My boyfriend is better at assembly so is putting them together for me.

But but you have build and paint them all yourself. That's like the LAW...

You simply aren't allowed to play the game until you have sunk all your time into the other bits...

Truth. The Dice Gods demand sacrifice, skin in the game. Else your rolls will be forever cursed.

I knew one guy who had someone else paint all his Skaven models. I don't think his Warp Lightening Cannon ever killed anything other than his own Skaven. It was a running joke at the store to the point where people felt safer when his cannon aimed at their units.

The ork starter actually isn't a bad deal. Doesn't it come with boyz, a deff dread, a pain boy, and like a truck or something?

Orks are an expensive army though, just because you need so many boyz, but from what I've heard about 8th the boyz are back, and the boyz are effective!

I'm hoping the stratagems make up for the lack of vehicle and techmarine support, but for now it seems Iron Hands got shafted. :/

In other news, I got my Mark 1 minis in the other day. I don't have any pictures on hand but I think they're pretty great. Now I just have to decide how to paint them.
