There's always room for cavalry. Like in the 5th ed guard book the quote on the rough rider's page goes something like "I have seen vast tank battles, and space marines, and xenos [something to that effect], but nothing is more stirring than the sight of a massed cavalry charge." And cavalry is effective in 40k (tabletop). Give the guard some more options for it. It would add so much zazz and the coolness factor would be off the charts. And besides, the Imperium throws conscripts with swords and spears into battle on occasion according to old fluff. Gimme rules for more cavalry, and perhaps a kit, or even just some upgrade sprues and and I will go to town converting GW's fantastic line of cavalry into guard cavalry.

Are we ready debating if there should be Space Mongols in the game or not? How can this even be a discussion? :p

Space Mongols are so awesome that they come in two flavors, Space Marine and Imperial Guard.
O'er the hills and o'er the main.
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain.
King George commands and we obey.
Over the hills and far away.

Indeed. But lets add some space knights. And space mounted men at arms. And space dragoons. And so on.

I never really got into the space mongol rough riders the talarn space Lawrence of Arabia always looked better. Of course the ultimate rough rider set would have been pretorian based except with everything painted khaki and the odd slouch hat added in.

Space Polish Uhlans would also rock. To my knowledge, the Polish cavalry were the only ones who used explosive lances as anti-tank weapons.

Yes! Just give the guard some more rules for cavalry and we can convert up space uhlans, dragoons, knights and mongols to our heart's content!

Even a fast attack bike scout option could be interesting. They could coordinate indirect artillery fire, or have sidecars equipped with stubbers.

Who watches Bruva's 'If the Emperor had text-to-speech device' series?

This should all be canon.

Just few examples from Age of Apostasy episode:

"Goge Vandire. That name is just screaming 'I am gonna take your eye sockets and put my penis into them'."

"Some girl came in here, and stared at me with depraved, flustered eyes. If I had the proper bodily components left, I would probably have gotten a fairly insecure boner."

"The Adeptus Astartes can only contain males. No girls allowed. They are yucky."
"Those who reached my boundary, their seed is not; their hearts and their souls are finished forever and ever. As for those who had assembled before them on the sea, the full flame was their front before the harbour mouths, and a wall of metal upon the shore surrounded them. They were dragged, overturned, and laid low upon the beach; slain and made heaps from stern to bow of their galleys, while all their things were cast upon the water." - Ramesses III., Battle of the Delta

This article has opened my eyes. It is not propaganda at all, just pure truth. Pure as the Emperor itself, immaculate as the many noble deeds of the Imperium.

As soon as GW has found a method to increase the price as much as possible while still getting away with it.
