I got part of my Kickstarter rewards from the latest Mantic Deadzone campaign. I think the Mantic Corporation and Enforcers are better designs than the GW IG despite the lower-quality plastics. The proportions look much better overall.

But that is a fatuous answer, for those who are satisfied to mind their own business do not aspire to become authorities." ~ Thomas Szasz

Just realized that in 7th edition Deathwing Terminators lost the one unique thing they had. No more deepstriking on turn 1 :(

That tank is too fucking shiny for my taste, but in terms of paintjob quality it's not too shabby.

Can't say I recognize the infantry models without lying, though - is it the potato camera, or some obscure-ish line of models or even copious amounts of greenstuff application?

Pretty sure they're Solar Auxilia, unless I'm mistaken.

So that would be "obscure-ish line of models", I guess.

Solar Auxilia remind me of Imperial Navy Armsmen/ voidsmen. Witch is odd when you think there is a 10,000 year difference between the two.

Tbh they remind me of Fallout power armor, and they do specialize in void warfare (saturnine bulls were the oringinal void warriors and Solar Auxilia)

Picked up a softback version of Codex Atsra Militarum IMPERIAL GUARD today, even though I thought GW was going hardback only?

Regardless, Plasma Gun or Meltagun?

The correct answer, Guardsmen, is both.

It depends on what your army composition is, and what type of enemies you're likely to face. If you run a mobile army and/or face lots of armor, the melta is your friend. If you run a static gunline army and face termies or monstrous creatures go plasma. you'll need to figure out your own balance though depending on your play style and the type of opponents you regularly face.
