Ever since they came out, I have been wanting to build an Imperial Knight army. New options make this even more attractive. Based on the leaked info and the existing codices, what would you suggest for an Imperial Knights army supported by an allied detachment of IG? I'm thinking just 2 squads of soldiers and some artillery plus an HQ.

But that is a fatuous answer, for those who are satisfied to mind their own business do not aspire to become authorities." ~ Thomas Szasz

My poor dice rolling reaches a new low:

I also rolled all ones on four dice twice in that game for casting attempts on spells.

Both were kind of key for getting my Vampire Lord back up a wound.

That is impressive... I don't think I've ever seen a die land like that before...

Actually didn't do to badly, considering this was the first time I'd played with them.

Minor loss, but I beat my mate's Empire army to pieces.

If it's any consolation, my army's heavily converted to look like an Empire one :P

Already did - hence the "undead" bit.

Foolish mortal.

Don't worry, your death will be relatively swift and I promise I might not send your corpse to fight against your fellows.

In other news, finished reading the End Times books. It will be interesting to see what comes next.

Well.. then.. you must die again!

WIth the pointy end of a thousand swords! And fire.. fire is good.

Also have not read it myself, general consensus seems to be that everyone dies.

The dead do not rest easily, even when you think them destroyed for good...

But, yep, that is the gist. The books live up to their name.

I'm tempted to have a look at Kings of War, depending on what the next edition of WHFB is like...

Been eyeing up Wargames Foundry's British from their Seven Years War range for pretty much the same reason.

By the sounds of things its a more streamlined version of WHFB.

The video games and lore is awesome.
But the actual tabletop is way too expensive to get in to.

Yeah...

I might be getting involved with a WHFB campaign, which should be good. The gaming group just needs to finish their 40K campaign.

Hypothetical: would a Dalek's laser be able to take down a average Necron warrior? What a know about it is that it scrambles a persons insides via large amount of radiation and on higher settings it can vaporise objects.

Necrodermis is fairly tough, so I would say probably not. Neccys don't have internal organs to scramble and Necrodermis is more than likely radiation-proof/resistant, especally given that it is self-repairing, so no. Besides, even if one Neccy dies, it can always get back up.

One of the worst things in Dawn of War was seeing those bastards form themselves together after you blew them apart, so damned overpowered but it was such a triumph when you beat them.

Their base though in Dark Crusade? Fuck that shit, one of the most painful missions ever. I always hang back hoping someone else can kill them before i have to but they always slaughter everyone around them so i have to do it.

So many dead guardsmen..

Yeah. The Tombs was a nasty mission. Especally those tomb spyders that just squat at your base the entire game and occasionally wake up.
