== Suka Steelborn ==

The planet Suka is a grim world: its surface is devoid of any atmosphere, almost lifeless save the beasts that brave the distances between settlements and the plants which reach deep into the tunnels for sustenance. Not a human soul lives on the surface, but must reside in various airtight villages scattered around the planet, ancients structures from the Dark Age of Technology revered by their denizens with worship. In such a world resources are scarce, and so the tech-tribes must fight using their ancient artifacts, bringing void-suits and lasguns to bear against each other.

The tech-tribes of Suka do not wage war themselves, but instead send forth their gods. Among the most ancient technologies of Suka are ancient incubation vats, automated apparatus that give birth to flesh. What beings emerge from these metal wombs are not mere men to the tech-tribes; they are gods, born of machine, whose exclusive right is to lay waste to the bodies and spirits of machines. Only the Steelborn, sons of metal, can break metal; the lower born of flesh have no say in the affairs of spirits. Steelborn cross the airless surface of Suka, fighting other steelborn for their tech-tribe, scavenging archeotech, providing valuable services to the tech-tribes as they explore the world.

Occasionally, when the stars are too many, gods from the sky descend to Suka. Representatives of the God-Emperor, ruler of all machine spirits, come to the planet to spirit away hundreds of Steelborn into the larger Imperium's endless conflicts. Other times it is techpriests of the Adeptus Mechanicus, truly divine men to the Sukans, searching for archeotech, bringing more technology to the tech-tribes to trade for rarer items. Sometimes, it is not gods but demons who come to Suka. In such times the Steelborn must defend their world against the horrors of the galaxy.

Speaking of, lets make our own army with the creation tables!

No dice on hand at the moment. Solution: https://www.random.org/

Origin: PDF
Demographic: All male
Recruitment: Punishment/Redemption/Recycling
Homeworld: Feral, jungle.
Core units: Infantry
Specialty: Guerrilla Warfare
Loyalty: Adherent
Special equipment: Exotic Mounts
Creed: We Must Repent
Regiment friends: Inquisition (Okaaaay...)
Regiment enemies: Orks

So... On to creation.

Planet name: Ycill II, courtesy of http://donjon.bin.sh/scifi/world/
Prominent Commissar: Azrael Hann, courtesy of http://www.obscurehub.com/sci-fi-charac ... generator/

Fluff starting point: Ycill II was a lost colony of humanity, struggling to survive the harsh word where their ancestors had landed uncountable years ago. Leaders of the tribes of the northern hemisphere were seduced by the Chaos adherents who arrived with offers of aid in exchange for joining their cult several generations past. The Inquisition in pursuit of these cultists allied with the southern tribes who rebelled against the tyranny of their northern neighbors, but they feel the shame of their kinsmen still. All criminals are sentenced to serve in the PDF as penance for their crimes, and they are zealous in fighting any apparent reemergence of Chaos cults.

Of more immediate concern, however, is the feral Ork population that has plagued the world throughout its history of humans settlement. The northern Chaos alliance even sought to ally with these greenskins and send them to pillage the homesteads and cities of the southern tribes. this also brought new technology into the hands of the orks, and sparked a new wave of innuvayshun among them. Chaos cults can be wiped out, but the Orks seem more resilient.

The PDF, then, must prove their world's loyalty to the Inquisition while fighting off the green tide. Their only allies are a suspicious Inquisition, their standard-issue lasrifles, and their trusty insectoid "kirrik" cavalry.
The Empire of Pretantia wrote:[...] TLDR; welcome to the internet. Bicker or GTFO.
"Why is self-control, autonomy, such a threat to authority? Because the person who controls himself, who is his own master, has no need for an authority to be his master. This, then, renders authority unemployed. What is he to do if he cannot control others? To be sure, he could mind his own business. But that is a fatuous answer, for those who are satisfied to mind their own business do not aspire to become authorities." ~ Thomas Szasz

If there was a 40k movie who would be cast? Here are my ideas.

Timothy Olyphant as Horus Lupercal
Stone Cold Steve Austin (He's going to need a wig), Triple H (He's going to have to regrow his hair) or Eric Bana (Ditto) as Leman Russ
Jason Statham as Ferrus Manus
Kodi Smit-McPhee as Fulgrim
Samuel L. Jackson, Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman or Lawrence Fishburne as Vulkan
Tim Robbins as Rogal Dorn
Dolph Lundgren as Roboute Guilliman
Jude Law as Magnus the Red
Michael Fassbender as Sanguinus
Chris Hemsworth or Chris Evans as Lion El'Jonson
Geoffrey Rush, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger or Vin Diesel as Perturabo
Bryan Cranston as Mortarian
Vin Diesel (If he doesnt play Perturabo), Stanley Tucci or Ed Harris as Lorgar
Hiroyuki Sanada, Jackie Chan, Masahiro Motoki or Jamel Debbouze as Jagathai Khan
Sylvester Stallone (He's going to have to regrow his hair) or Sean Bean (ditto) as Konrad Curze
Sylvester Stallone (He's going to have to regrow his hair) or Karl Urban as Corvus Corax
Vin Diesel, Stanley Tucci, Ed Harris, Stone Cold Steve Austin (If one of them is not playing anyone else) or The Big Show (He'll have to shave his goatee) as Alpharius/Omegon

Angron Will be a CGI Character voiced by Hugo Weaving. The Emperor Will be a CGI Character Voiced by either Peter Cullen or Lawrence Fishburne.

Vin Diesel is just a must have - I mean, the guy actually plays Warhammer 40k! He's more of a Perturabo type than a Mortarion type, since the latter would be relatively thin.

So, gave the Regiment Creation Tables a try.

Origin: Imperial Guard
Demographic: All female
Recruitment: Punishment/Redemption/Recycling
Homeworld: Hive World, Airless
Core Units: Drop Troops
Specialty: Stealth Warfare
Loyalty: Adherent
Special Equipment: War Trophies
Creed: For the Emperor
Regiment Friends: Adeptus Mechanicus
Regiment Enemy: Orks

Huh. This looks pretty good, now onto some details.

Homeworld name: Eurin II
Prominent Commissar: Orion Bluth

Eurin II is a moon orbiting a volcanic planet, settled by humanity long before the Great Crusade. Unlike other hives, it does not have towering spires, and its cities are instead domed or inside great tunnels dug over millennia, and every domed settlement on the surface is connected to the others through these great subterranean pathways. During the Age of Strife, these became sites of conflict as opportunistic leaders took control of settlements in the chaos following the birth of Slaanesh, and when the Imperium came upon the world in M36, the war was still on-going, thousands of conscripted citizens fighting over control of small stretches of pathway under the command of decadent lords descended from these original rulers. In the time since the Age of Strife, many of these tunnels have collapsed, both to time and to the effects of constant warfare, and most of the planet has been abandoned, many of its cities exposed to the void.

The Imperium's arrival put a halt to this, and within months, the entire planet was unified under Imperial rule. Conscription proceeded as normal, but instead of going to fight in the tunnels, they were formed into Guard Regiments sent to fight the Emperor's enemies. With millennia-long martial traditions, these regiments were, if not that well-disciplined, quite skilled at combat. The Adeptus Mechanicus are highly involved in the planet, as there was much archeotech from the Dark Age of Technology, and even some STC fragments, to be recovered. This was put to use by the Mechanicum rather quickly, and most regiments from the planet are both friendly with the Priests of Mars and outfitted with much fairly rare equipment.

The 277th Drop Regiment is one of these regiments, drawn from female stock according to Eurin's gender-segregated regimental tradition. A drop regiment, they specialize in quiet insertions and stealth warfare.

Order Type: Minor Order
Order Originator: Order of the Bloody Rose
Purpose of Order's Founding: Strategic Prognostication
Order's Flaw: Pride in the Colours

Order Demeanour: Swift as the Wind
Figure of Legend: Canoness Superior, slew a daemon prince

Order's Homeworld: Shrine World, Ocean
Rule of Homeworld: Direct Rule in All but Name
Order Organisation: Standard
Combat Doctrine: Shock and Awe

Order Divergence: Large Supply of Blessed Objects
Order's Method of Worship: The Emperor Above All.
Order Size: Nominal

Order's Allies: Inquisition
Order's Enemies: A particular Daemon Prince, Daemon, or Disciple of Chaos

Hmm...

So we got here the Order of the Burning Rose, and they're super into this Imperial Cult business. They boss their homeworld around, they kill and scare the shit out of heretics, they say their prayers every knight, and they ride motorcycles as the God-Emperor intended. Like, if the Boogeyman was a Catholic biker chick.

So they hate daemons, right? Well daemons hate them too, but none match the daemon prince Kabanda in hatred. You see, Kabanda got stabbed by the Order's saint, a canoness superior, so Kabanda hates the Order of the burning Rose especially. Or some shit.

I like my snake siege sisters with snake siege knights better.

Making Empy and Angron completely CGI would ruin it if everyone else wasn't completely CGI.

Angron - top choice would be Tom Hardy
Emps - Liam Neeson
