You have three campaigns, 12 factions, the game play is similar to the first game but has some more stuff added into it (more ship types, more abilities and a more in-depth ship system where instead of like 4 abilities you have a lot more which can be used/disabled depending on certain parts of the ships being active or damaged etc. You have multiple sectors to fight in now against more races and each sector has its own systems you have to fight for.
Its mostly smooth too, though ive noticed some stuttering and a bit of lag between cutscenes and clicking on some menus. And it could do with some clearer explanations of how some stuff works.
Oh and the artwork is fuckin gorgeous as always
