I assume you guys remember the old Tale of Four Gamer series from White Dwarf? I've been presented with an opportunity to buy one of the armies from the second instalment. I'm still waiting for pictures before committing (have them reserved in the meantime), but I'm pretty stoked about it and if the pics match I'm definitely getting them. EDIT: Bought them. It's the Nurgle army by Asger Granerud. The circus strongman seems to be missing but other than that it's all there.

The specific Eldar who held square to revive Ghilliesuitman are Ynnari, the Eldar on Vigilus are a different group.

By the way, what were 1st edition Primarchs like? Were there any loyalist models of them or was it just traitor ones?

There was a model of Russ and his wolves but I think that was about it

Also on this the traitor primarchs/demon prince's didn't show up in Rogue trader, only in epic scale.

What! No boob armour? Are gw finally starting to do things right?
She looks like a cool character but is it wrong that I'm a bit disappointed that a new female commissar has to be a character? Maybe it just because I've never wanted to use special characters in any of my army's and have tended to use the minis as generic HQs or just part of normal squads.

Now all we need are some decent female gaurd minis, preferably in generic cadia style form rather than a special "amazon" regiment.

Good news, the circus strongman has been located!

She looks like a cool character but is it wrong that I'm a bit disappointed that a new female commissar has to be a character? Maybe it just because I've never wanted to use special characters in any of my army's and have tended to use the minis as generic HQs or just part of normal squads.

I don't like using special characters either. No reason not to use the mini as a generic commissar though.

Well, there's already a Prussian themed guard regiment. Don't see why there couldn't be a Space Marine chapter with the same gimmick.

Apparently the Fists are the legion most like Prussia but I'm not entirely sure how "fortifying this position" translates to Outgunned, Outnumbered, Though Never Outclassed.

I need help with Gothic Armada 1. I'm terrible at Ork missions. I can't figure out how to consistently defend the platforms and convoys from them. I also need tips in general other than "micro better" which i am improving at.
I'm also playing on normal. (Playing 40k games on easy is heresy but I am very bad at strategy games so Hard is out of the question.)

I also think they panic quicker than other factions, so try focusing on smaller ships and the captains of their larger ships might run away. They are slow but the AI cheats and seems to have unlimited BIG RED BUTTON

Erm. That doesn't reassure me of its quality. Is it a mechanically impressive game with solid easy to learn difficult to master gameplay or is it a broken bugged to all hell shit heap with day 1 dlc for a vital faction to the lore?

Look man, I literally only played like two hours so far. I could tell you how from what little I know about how the mechanics are complex yet intuitive, or how the game runs like a charm, or how the developers made a point of not having day 1 DLC factions.

OR, I can tell you how I creamed myself when I rammed a Blackstone Fortress with the Phalanx.

Ive played it for a few hours and it seems like an improvement over the first Battlefleet Gothic.

You have three campaigns, 12 factions, the game play is similar to the first game but has some more stuff added into it (more ship types, more abilities and a more in-depth ship system where instead of like 4 abilities you have a lot more which can be used/disabled depending on certain parts of the ships being active or damaged etc. You have multiple sectors to fight in now against more races and each sector has its own systems you have to fight for.

Its mostly smooth too, though ive noticed some stuttering and a bit of lag between cutscenes and clicking on some menus. And it could do with some clearer explanations of how some stuff works.

Oh and the artwork is fuckin gorgeous as always
