You get my point. But how inventors can be corrupted by Chaos?.

The Harlequin:
The Beast Arises series is awesome, but the only way that incident works is if those Harlequins were the most powerful of their kind.Otherwise, two of them killing dozens of Custodes would just be silly.
Oh, that reminds me of a theory I've been working on - I think the Orks as a race shape themselves after the dominant civilisation in the galaxy. Thus, the Orks the Emperor fought were little more than animals, because of the massive decline the Galaxy had experienced and the main thing they fought probably being Daemons. Then we have Waaagh! Beast, which was like the Imperium at the height of the Great Crusade. Right now, at the end of the 41st Millenium, we've got Orks who don't hold a candle to Waaagh! Beast but still pose a significant threat, even if they haven't advanced in thousands of years - just like the Imperium.
It still needs work as a theory, but there is one detail that gave me the idea and is, I feel, a vital piece of evidence - the Orks predate mankind's evolution by a very long time, and have been fighting wars against Necrons and Eldar etc for the vast majority of their time in the Galaxy, with the time they've spent fighting Humans still comparatively young. So why is it that so much of their language is built on Gothic loan words? There's the theory I came up with to explain it, at least.

Do Orks really use English-derived words like "humie", "teef" or "boyz" literally, complete with faux-Cockney accent? I was always under the impression that their actual language is completely alien to human ears.
Conserative Morality wrote:"It's not time yet" is a tactic used by reactionaries in every era. "It's not time for democracy, it's not time for capitalism, it's not time for emancipation." Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

It is. During the Beast series, the orks at one point send in an ambassador who speaks high gothic to the high lords. And the Imperium is completely stunned by both of these neigh-on inconceivable things.

According to the Ciaphas Cain series, Orks really do call their weapons "Shootas" etc due to Gothic language influences. It also mentions an Orkish language, but apparently that's primarily composed of swearing and blows to the head.

Then there's things like the Ork Cruiser "Ardenuff" which supposedly means "Battle-ready" in Orkish, and its derivation is obvious.
However, it'd fit my theory if they only started adopting Gothic loan-words after Ullanor, which fits with it being unheard of before Waaagh! Beast.

The II primarchs name is about as long as Alpharius, XI's name is about as long as Magnus the red. Some sort of genetic failure occurred, because Guilliman lists them as failures, and the other Nine as traitors. One of them encountered a Necron monument at some point.

"Those who reached my boundary, their seed is not; their hearts and their souls are finished forever and ever. As for those who had assembled before them on the sea, the full flame was their front before the harbour mouths, and a wall of metal upon the shore surrounded them. They were dragged, overturned, and laid low upon the beach; slain and made heaps from stern to bow of their galleys, while all their things were cast upon the water." - Ramesses III., Battle of the Delta
