You were certainly able to get twenty infantrymen for that much.

It's how I built my infantry company.

For 24 or 15? For 24, yes by buying them in boxes of 5 normal guardsmen like this one, for 15, no way could you get twenty infantrymen. Not any time at all recently.

Yes, you could.

Around the time of the release of the plastic Cadians.

See also: Catachan box.

This would be about 4th Edition.

For £15, you could get twenty Cadians in a box, with the options for a sergeant, vox operator, grenade launchers and flamers.

So we are talking about a decade ago.

No, I was merely backing up what Morrdh said. A decade ago doesn't honestly feel that long ago to me, but I was more than happy to concede the point.

It's particularly classy of you to use both bold, underlined and italics.

Doesn't make you look petulant at all.

I just cannot get over how silly it looks. I think it looks so stupid...

Image

- Ridiculous, tiny treads that look like the people of the far future don't know how to make wheels
- Baby blue color
- Hilarious turret that's mounted far too high. How would the turret shoot anything below it? Why is it so high, making it an obvious target?
- Too many entrance hatches. There's a hatch on the top, sides, and back. Do you really need half of the tanks surfaces to be hatches?
- Looks like too many ventilation holes, although that's more debatable.
- The optional sledgehammer strapped to the sides (not pictured), to give your enemies an easy way to break open the hatches.

Thank god it's essentially an overpriced, overrated Chimera. Sure it might have heavy weapons, but it's so fragile that you'll only get to shoot them once... This baby's no dreadknight, at least.

Personally, they should have just based it off more of a armored car. Like something like this or this or even this would have been better.

I was thinking today that they could've easily made a better model without too much effort.

Just do a soup-upped Chimera with alternative weapons, would fit in better with the Guard.

They could've just taken one of the existing vehicles that hasn't been made as a model yet and looks better.

I'd like to note that I made an error when I talked about the Scions before.

Scions can only deep strike when being fielded as a full army on their own (with Codex: Militarum Tempestus). When fielded in another Imperial army (like the Guard), they cannot deep strike.

Also, the IG codex is no longer on the Games Workshop website, meaning that the new codex is coming very soon.

Hey guys.
Would any of you guys think it cool if I started a "small business" with 1k USD.
Like, create my own miniatures game?
Would it be possible to make a business out of it?

One of the best Chimera - and simplest - conversions I've seen is just moving the turret to the rear.

Ahh yes all my Chimeras are rear mounted like that. Also all my Russes are made backwards which also looks awesome in my opinion.

Well, it's not really that hard to do, albeit doing it on any significant scale is the hard part.

That, and it's not exactly a market that is without businesses trying to exploit it.

There are many, many war gaming and model-making companies out there, and probably about double that number of people trying to get into it.

I've seen pictures of Russes which have been rebuilt to look a bit more like a modern tank, which looks cool. One of my housemates has one with a Soviet tank turret replacing the original one. It doesn't look as bad as that might sound.
