Bloody GW, letting the only other "race" the imperium were too scared to go to war with get munched by tyranids out of nowhere but leaving the one pointless planet of furies alone.

I'm not at all still bitter about it 20 years later. I don't think that GW realised that the squat fans would turn out to be as capable of holding a grudge as their favourite race was.

Just started learning about the WH-40K univiverse. Its fascinating so far.

Thats because since 6th edt and even more so now GW have started to realise that giving people what they want tends to make money.

They are now going with the line of, well a few worlds survived after all but the imperium absorbed them so you can use squat models as guard stand ins. Which in a way is going back to the origins of the space dwarfs as being more or less regular imp. troops with lasguns, flak armour, jumppacks and rhinos (in the days when everyone used rhinos).

I don't know, destroying the planet your mainline of plastic guard minis come from seems right up there in the hold my beer stakes.

Who can forget that one time when the Iron Warriors trolled the Imperial Fists into attacking their invincible super-fortress, suffer hundreds of casualties, only to find out that it had been empty the whole time?
