This new Primaris Lieutenant is cool, but we're going to have more Lieutenants than foot soldiers if they continue!

Is it just me or was anyone else expecting just a whole room full of examples of one mini and when you see the titan you change that to just titans, so many titans, in all the scales.

Are they basically suggesting that prepainted minis are on the horizon?

I'm still confused as to where lieutenants fit and where in earth they even came from. Was there a couple of pages in the codex that have simply been missing for a long time or something?

I don't think so, since they're saying "Your 'to paint' pile won't know what hit it." - which implies something to help out with said pile, rather than pre-painted minis.

Re: Primaris Lieutenants, they're specific to the new Primaris companies and chapters etc.

So as much as I'd like to build a 40K army, I doubt it'll exist beyond its fluff.

Basically an army solely used for RPs or fiction writing, just need to decide between a Long Range Desert Group based army or a Rogue Trader's household troops.

Tallarn Desert Raiders could work for the first one. And they released some rogue trader stuff recently i think.

The Desert Scorpions LRDG trucks from the DUST game is what I was envisioning for the LRDG style army.

Yeah, both the Kill Team and Blackstone Fortress.

Just really a case of which one would be the more interesting one to RP with/write fiction for, the LRDG based one I've pictured being in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade whilst the Rogue Trader one has a bit more flexibility.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Masqu ... _Red_Death

I found something interesting on Wikipedia, and what could have inspired Magnus's creation. It's an Edgar Allen Poe poem about a deadly disease called "The Red Death", and how a prince tries to avoid it. One symptom of the Red Death is the skin of the victim turning red. The main character's name is Prospero.

You thinking what I'm thinking, or is it just a creepy coincidence?

There's a bunch of them which are pretty neat. Like Lion El'Johnson is named after a musician called Lionel Johnson, who played in a band that had a song called- you guessed it- Dark Angel.

Conrad Kurze's nickname of Nighthaunter is named after a heavy metal band too.

And we shouldn't forget the primarch of the second legion, who's name actually comes - hey why is the inquisition;afnjvleidjbvwlihbvliba;oibejharlewuabhrfir;owhbegihauwo3;hfaejnwk ew;areuiblhea jnd f
