Most of those things are more like the Battle Armors and ProtoMechs in the BattleTech universe. When you want to have something resembling a BattleMech, you should look at Knights, Warhound Scout Titans, Stompa's and Supa-Stompa's.

Anything above a warhound titan is too big for Mechwarrior.

Honestly anything bigger than a knight probably passes into level 3 super heavy rules, infact some of the knights probably cross that hard 100ton limit as it is.

Nah, I'd say Knights still fall in assault mech category. Hell, maybe even heavy mech.

Do keep in mind a hundred-ton mech isn't actually 100 tons. If it was, then it would be as dense as plastic. For reference, the Maus tank is 188 tonnes, or 207 short tons, and it's not twice the size of an assault mech.

The WH40K Epic miniatures of Knights were about as big as BattleMech miniatures, actually.

But were they the same scale?

Yes. Both games are 6mm, which is pretty much the same as 1/285.

someone with Horus Heresy army?

my dream is pre-Heresy Alpha Legion, but i am not sure if it would look so badass as in my mind it looks.
"Those who reached my boundary, their seed is not; their hearts and their souls are finished forever and ever. As for those who had assembled before them on the sea, the full flame was their front before the harbour mouths, and a wall of metal upon the shore surrounded them. They were dragged, overturned, and laid low upon the beach; slain and made heaps from stern to bow of their galleys, while all their things were cast upon the water." - Ramesses III., Battle of the Delta

I'm working on some Dark Angel loyalists during the whole affair on Caliban. Those specifically so I can paint some green patches on that black armor to make things stand out a bit more.

I play solar auxilia and luna wolves. Alphas are pretty fun on the table, and its a harder paint scheme, but it looks really good when pulled off.

I've been kicking about ideas for possibly doing an Imperial Militia army for 30K, just need to figure out an armylist and how I want to run it.

How to run it? Order them to sprint towards the enemy and let them die gloriously for the Imperium. You know, standard Imperial Guards tactics.

Hm, looking at taking the Survivors of the Dark Age Provenance to gain access to Rhinos for my Grenadiers.

With the Rhinos I can look at using either a kitbashed FV432 model kit or *this* (latter goes with the models I'm already using).

Apparently AoS will actually get an official points system and narrative play guide now.

I can't decide if this is heresy because AoS, or double heresy because AoS trying to be real Warhammer.
