Janus - Pound of Flesh

Vocals aren't really my thing, but it ain't bad.

Candlemass-Demons Gate

Hell, this vocal style pushes boundaries of things I might not like but I end up enjoying it so far.

The weirdest thing is I'm listening to 80's music.

It's one of those things I'm kind of surprised I like, because the vocals could easily push boundaries I don't like (Dem squeals or whatever you want to call them), but I like it so far.

I was going through the two death metal albums my dad liked from last year. Rated both an 8, though I think I liked Unhuman a bit more just because of the vocalist.

Squeals? I'd call them operatic vocals.

I gave both albums an 8 as well.
I gave the Candlemass album you're on a 9, and Candlemass - Nightfall is one of my extremely rare 10/10 albums.

Vinterland - "As I Behold The Dying Sun"
This band is so good

Okay, high-pitched operatic vocals :P

I don't know if I'll ever have a 10.

Highest I have is 5 9's. Shaking the Habitual by The Knife, Jesu by Jesu, and 3 soundtracks. Black Hawk Down, Hanna, and The Last of Us Soundtracks, to be precise.

Once I go through some of my favorite post-rock albums again, I should have more 9's, because I have untitled by Sigur Ros at a 8.7 (I had others at 8.5 but I had to find some way to make it so I like it more, because it is my favorite), and I know there are post-rock albums I like more (Latest Godspeed You! Black Emperor album?)

Candlemass-Under the Oak

I was gonna go play some video games after finishing Gorguts, but eh, might as well finish this while I'm here.

A Sorcerer's Pledge and Solitude are my favorite songs from Epicus Doomicus Metallicus

Vinterland - "Still The Night Is Awake"
This band sounds so much like Dissection that it's scary. Of course, that's a very good thing.

Not technically. Being a carbon copy of another band isn't entirely a good thing.

One of my two favorite tracks off of The Lost Children.
