Oh look. New thread.

I'm into mainly music from the 20th century or older but there may be one or two songs I like that are from the 21st century. Some artists I like include:

The Beatles, Queen, U2, Blondie, John Lennon (as solo), Paul McCartney and the Wings, George Harrison (as solo), Roger Taylor (drummer of Queen, as solo), Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Coldplay (the last three are only a little bit)

I'm also into classical music, my favourite period being romantic. My favourite composers are Debussy, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart.

Most people here don't like my taste but eh.

Actually this is pretty much what people generally agree upon from personal experience (Which could be wrong mind you) unless you're talking about the classical stuff(And even then that's a maybe at worst).

For me my tastes were in a temporary loop with semi-popular/normal popular Dadrock/metal 90's alternative...but really i looked at all the genre definitions and branched out a bit more and i found that i'm not sure i have a real strict preference.

I like your taste, but I don't find your taste interesting, if I see similair artist that I enjoy and suddenly a name pops up that I don't know, I want to check them out.

I trend heavily towards metal, so MYEH.
I've been meaning to listen to more post-rock, though.

I have a lot of metal, too, though. My Spotify metal playlist has 730 songs, and that's not even close to all the ones I actually know, since I only add about half from each album I listen to.

And you know where to go if you need post-rock recommendations :P

Meaning, me. My Post-Rock one is at like 1,300 songs.

I usually divide by subgenre, to keep things nice and tidy. Thrash metal is my longest, though.

I used to listen to a ton of Isis, but I haven't been in the mood for them for a while.

Hey, new thread.

Sungai Pusat wrote:Just to chirp in, I don't really have a favourite band(s) that I will return to.

Most I have for music that I love would be anything from Macklemore to Owl City to Lorde. And the only band I've ever really seemed to continuously return to at present is Coldplay, of which I have listened to all of their two latest albums, plus a couple of songs from the previous three. The next most is Macklemore's latest album... and that's it.

I like Lorde. Owl City is just a really saccharine version of the Postal Service though.

Lorde is meh....Imo. I like some of her songs, and despise the rest(in particular Royals). She certainly has the talent though

The Grammys inspired me to buy that Lorde album. Somehow I didn't get this before. Wow. This is amazing stuff.

Only real good thing nominated at the Grammy's...

It's rare for the Grammy's to be worthwhile, anyway. They just nominate the latest "Big hits", not technically stuff that is the highest of quality.

Well, I'm an Imagine Dragons fan, and I quite enjoyed Daft Punk's album.

I didn't even follow Grammy's, but I heard that Black Sabbath's God Is Dead? won best metal performance. So that makes me happy.

Yeah, this. Also, the new Led Zeppelin album won something, too. So yeah.
