I think this is one of those things that's so bad that it's actually genius.

That video...

Also, I've heard good things about that band...

It's simplistic, but the music is actually kinda interesting in the different directions it takes over the course of the song.

That video is a fucking trip though. Whoever made it has definitely had experience with LSD.

Listened to 3 David Bowie albums so far, none of which are his "big hits" or the ones he's super well known for. Like every single one so far quite a lot.
Blackstar: 9/10
Heathen: 8.510
1.Outside: 8/10

Subject to change.

Edit: Add in the EP. No Plan: 8/10

Wow! The Slowdive comeback album is way better than I expected. It's beautiful. Might just be my favorite thing they've done after a few more listens.

I think I liked one new song (of the singles) but another was just kind of boring.

So far this is my favorite of theirs

Heh, that's my least favorite Slowdive song. My favorite is probably When The Sun Hits.

But yeah, you should listen to the whole new album.

I remember being kind of bored by them at times, and that was the first one I heard and such.

Honestly, I think I say I was bored but I gave the album an 8??? Must be something that does bore me in certain moods.

They're definitely "mood music".

My enjoyment of Slowdive is so much greater when I'm in the right physical setting and frame of mind.

Yeah, I still gave it an 8, so I clearly enjoyed it still. I've only listened to Souvlaki, though.

You know, I literally read it as Slowdrive for the longest time and I have no idea why. Its like when I always read your nation name as CONSUMAR ;)

Like, I don't even get why our brains do that. Like how do I read it as Slowdrive no matter how many times I've seen it typed out differently, or should have?

I actually saw a weird thing about that related to the berenstain bears where everyone always thought it was the berenstein bears and everyone was confused as shit when they read it later and it wasn't. Including my dad.

EDIT: Funny coincidence. Just after I posted that, the song I was listening to referenced the Berenstain* bears. (Mind Power by ATCQ)

The first time I listened to "Sliver" by Nirvana, I thought it was "Silver". I still think that sometimes.

For a long time I read "nostalgia" as "nostalagia".

I was about to say something about music with this same kind of misreading but I don't remember any particular ones really. I swear there are titles I've misread :p

Just yesterday when we were discussing Therion songs in the Metal Thread, I realized I had always misspelled the last word in "The Wand of Abaris" as 'Abrais', even in my music library and scrobbles. I could've sworn it was always 'Abrais'...
