Don't know how much you still care for new Muse, but according to their Twitter or Instagram they appear to be in the studio recording right now. Idk what for, probably just a single. It would be great to have non-album singles again though.

I find Muse pretty hit or miss, but I'll probably listen to it anyway.

Looked up the Seattle show at Key Arena (Key Arena was enough for me to expect it would be bad)

Yeeeaahh, I was right. $270 for cheap tickets. After being spoiled with "cheap" bands, I can't ever subconsciously spend $270 on tickets. $90 for a double show to see Sigur Ros was already pushing it enough for me.

Bands like Car Seat Headrest are hard for me to rate and judge, because some songs I'm not typically much of a fan of and others I'm really enjoying. This seems to be a popular trend from bands in this realm of rock.

Meanwhile I purchased Lazerhawk's new album from their bandcamp. They were one of the first artists that lead me to synthwave goodness. It's been four years since their last album so I'm excited about this new one. However, since I have that megamusicmarathon still going on, I won't be listening to it until later when I hit L section of that marathon

Might start to rival Siamese Dream as my top Smashing Pumpkins album.

If it's just Radiohead, sure.

...But if it's Radiohead and several other big artists at some sort of festival-type event, then $270 is definitely typical. Last week, I noticed Anthrax were coming to town and looked up tickets but the cheapest were $150+ because it was for some thing called the "Texas Independence Fest" that also had Killswitch Engage and a couple other popular bands.

Why did I laugh at it being called Texas Independence Festival?

Finally got Duett's Borderline cassette. I had ordered in October 2015! I have no freaking idea why the hell it took this long to arrive.

The ending song in A Series of Unfortunate Events is actually pretty good. And I'm not usually a fan of this type of stuff in shows/movies. Not a "musical" fan.

The show is pretty appropriate quirky, too, as would be expected if you know anything about the concept. I don't know the source material itself, but I watched the movie. I think the series is pretty good. Definitely an acquired test, but yeah.

Heh - I watched that a couple days ago and thought the same thing. The song was really unexpected but a fitting way to end the season.

As someone who read all 15 books as a kid, I thought the series did a pretty decent job at adapting them. Many of the narrator's asides about grammar and other deadpan comments were taken word-for-word from the books. I'm looking forward to seeing Books 5-9 adapted in Season 2.

I like the theme song, too. But I did NOT expect the series to end in a musical piece, and a good one at that, so it was trippy. Its so fittingly dark for the, you know, the fact that this may be a quirky story, and even some comedy, but its kind of...dark. These kids parents die and get chased around everywhere.

As someone who read all 15 books as a kid, I thought the series did a pretty decent job at adapting them. Many of the narrator's asides about grammar and other deadpan comments were taken word-for-word from the books. I'm looking forward to seeing Books 5-9 adapted in Season 2.

I never read the books, but I saw the movie, so I decided to watch the show. I can see why people didn't like the movie now. But I was young when I saw the movie.

What amazes me is how much the actress they got for Violet looks exactly like the one in the old movie. Just...actually appropriately aged (She's actually younger than Violet. Which is a shock in Hollywood casting)

Also, apparently the author had a huge part in the show. He wrote 5 episodes, was executive producer, and even did music for it, so...that helps. It almost ALWAYS helps when the author has heavy input.

And yes, my sister and I just finished watching it today, which is why I'm talking about it. Definitely an acquired taste.
