I really dig Lauren Mayberry's accented singing in Blue Sky Archives {And CHVRCHES), but I definitely think as a whole The Unwinding Hours is a better band. And I really like the singer in that, too, anyway.

The best Blue Sky Archives songs out of their 3 EP's are this, this, and this.

And if you like The Unwinding Hours, you might like Aereogramme, as well. Both of the 2 members of The Unwinding Hours were in Aereogramme.

It's still fun to do from the second you wake up.
When I did my session, I literally drank so much coffee that I was able to go for about 14 more albums before I needed to go to sleep. I was awake for a whole 37ish hours listening to albums.

I can't be THAT dedicated. I can't sit down at my computer and listen to music for that long without going insane. I'm very restless...I did 17 albums and was like asleep through the last 2. I don't think I'll be trying to do any more than that ever again.

This will be really tough. Normally I can't stay on pc, or even inside more than 6-8 hours in a row. I just need to get out!

That part isn't so hard for me. I spend way too much time inside. Though it is becoming more and more difficult for me now lately. Which is a good thing. I keep having the urge to go outside and work more. Even when I should probably take a break for a day because of wearing myself out...Case in point me being completely wiped out the last 2 days from yard work but I go outside anyway.

The guy behind Igorrr seems interesting...His pet, which he's done photoshoots with and everything, is a....hen.

He even has a song with chicken sounds in it.

We own chickens and consider them pets, and not food, but this is a whole other level of socialization with your chickens :P

So I got Nimrod by Green Day from the library. I think I'm really starting to like punk (granted it's pop punk, but it's still my third punk album).

Geez. I don't even think I have enough short albums left to even attempt 22 albums in 17 hours. And I get up and wander and screw around too much to just sit there listening to albums for 17 hours straight :P

I think my 17 consisted of a lot of short albums.

Congratulations!

Do 5 albums a day for 4 days and you should be done!

Punk is good for those times when i'm pissed off or have a lot of energy haha. Check out Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, Pennywise, The Minutemen, and Henry Rollins' solo stuff and his stuff in the Henry Rollins Band if you're starting to get into it, those are my favorite punk bands at least.

I couldn't really bare to listen to things like thrash and death metal because they were so dear to my father, and I couldn't bear to listen to anymore old progressive rock as that was my mother's favorite. I don't know if my tastes have settled or I'm just getting older, or maybe even a little bit of both. But if it isn't heavy and sludgy then it's not my type of metal these days. And for rock music, I've become much more partial to post-hardcore bands (recently and most notably Quicksand) and softer space or alt rock like Hum.

Sorry about your parents :(

It's completely understandable to me. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened to me if I would change around. Though I think mine would end up going down a route of depressing music, which I already love quite a lot but I could see myself liking the dark, depressing, sad, often times slow music more at that point.

I don't seem to have music tastes based off of certain moods. I listen to punk when I feel like it. Pop when I feel like it (Which can be happy or sad, actually, despite the stereotype that pop is all happy), and so on. I can't really say there's a specific kind of music I listen to depending on my mood. I listen to some of the saddest music when I'm in a good mood. It really doesn't matter.

Hmph, according to mine I've only listened to 31 individual albums within the last month. I feel like I've listened to more albums than that, but whatever. I guess 31 is still a lot if you think about it though - it's a new album each day.

Sooo, I started doing a count for every month I've had Last.FM for how many individual albums I've listened to...Numbers may be off from counting wrong.

December 2012
0 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

January 2013
38 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

February 2013
44 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

March 2013
41 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

April 2013
42 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

May 2013
56 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

June 2013
61 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

July 2013
87 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

August 2013
91 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

September 2013
50 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

October 2013
116 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

November 2013
121 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

December 2013
129 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

January 2014
148 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

February 2014
82 individual LP's, EP's, and soundtracks

This doesn't include anything from YouTube listening, either, which isn't a whole lot really.

Also, with the first month of Last.FM, I actually didn't Scrobble at all (Didn't know how), and learned how about a month later.
