My mistake. It was quite the hit back in the days.

I know... in fact it's their biggest and most well known hit, the other being Do You Really Want To Hurt Me.

Right I do remember I'll Tumble 4 Ya, the rest... not so much. Surprised Mistake No. 3 peaked at.... #33 and not #3 though.

Considering how much I can't stand Call Me Maybe, Carly Rae Jepsen music shouldn't be this good to me, but I'm really digging some of this.

I feel like she was quite unfairly written off after Call Me Maybe and her one feature in that Owl City song, because she's honestly a great pop star and deserved way more success and recognition outside of being "The Call Me Maybe girl"

Clipping has a new album out this October. This time the concept is looser: A horrorcore album
First single is out.
John Carpenter feels like it's becoming passe but i like it.
I feel very good about this since i liked all their previous attempts in this genre(broad as is it).

What does eceryone think of the current Hot 100 Top 10?

I think Talk is pretty decent. Dont like Senioreta at all though. I Dont Care is super bland and mediocre; just another Ed Sheeran song

Old Town Road is literally the only song in the top ten I know, and I'm not a big fan. I would have expected that a song that would smash the record for time at #1 would be a happy, poppy kind of song, like a dance/party song or even "Call Me Maybe" from a few years ago, but "Old Town Road" is just stupid and barely a song. This kid has all the money he'll ever need in life just after sing-talking about horses and old town roads and booty for a minute and some change.

All the songs I know on the Hot 100, and whether I like them:
#1 Old Town Road - no
#14 Sunflower - no
#17 Someone You Loved - no
#26 Happier - God no
#29 God's Country - no
#34 Sweet but Psycho - meh

I'd say that sums up the charts pretty well.

OTR is the worst #1 """song""" I've ever heard, it never should have broken the record, it only did so via chart manipulation with so many remixes and MVs, a shit controversy about whether the song is country or not (Hint: it's less country than F.G.L.'s bro-country) and shit meme/challenge from the cancer known as TikTok.

Bad Guy deserved that #1 spot like over a month ago. Senorita is going to hit #1 soon, I count on it, Truth Hurts is decent, I like Talk, No Guidance is just boring R&B made worse with the literal shit that is Chris Brown, I Don't Care I like and find it overhated, Ra$om I got into recently, Goodbyes is good and If I Can't Have You is possibly my favorite song in the top 10.

My rule tends to be to ignore the Top 100. Its for the best.

Also, Bad Guy has hit #1, which makes it the first person born in the 2000's to top the charts.

When it comes to Lil Nas X, I've come to not hate this song and I'm not sure what to think.

I feel like he has more potential than he lets off in most of his music. I'd love to see him try that style more, but refine it further.

Speaking of modern music that none of you are gonna like, Taylor released her new album Lover... I like it.

Best: ME!. Cruel Summer, Paper Rings, The Archer, Soon You'll Get Better
Worst: I Forgot You Existed, The Man, YNTCD, False God, It's Nice To Have A Friend

7/10

Is "Cruel Summer" a remake of the 1983 Bananarama song?
