The Mountain Goats released their new album on Friday and it sucks that I can't buy it until next weekend.

Also, on Grunge, while the genre isn't too bad, I haven't really listened to too much of it past Nirvana. Britpop was better.

Smells Like Teen Spirit is overrated and Come As You Are is ok but there's much more to Nirvana than that. I don't listen to much grunge other than Nirvana really though, so...

Death Grips dropped a 22 minute song thing

They dropped this as a "thing while we work on the album"

"song thing"

Haha. Seems to be multiple songs just with no tracklist actually.

As usual with Death Grips though, it's not really my thing.

Yeah, I don't see an actual tracklist anywhere.

And...I don't even know what's happening in the song past 2 minutes.

The top comment has the track times.
I only liked the third track.

Just came back from a performance of Beethoven's 7th Symphony. Any classical music lovers?

Yes, not really an expert or anything, but I like some classical music. I was listening to the Magpie Overture today.

I have the feeling that you will find more people here that like classical music than normal! Haha, but yes, I love it!

Not really in this thread. Not ones that post, anyway.

Adytus wrote:It can be a lot more interesting than what people make today!

Sure. But that doesn't make it good. Many, many, many things made today are much, much more interesting to me.

Yeah I know you don't really care for classical music.

Haven't listened to that one before. I haven't delved into Rossini really, all I know is the William Tell Overture and the Barber of Seville.

It's true though, not many people talk about classical music in this thread (which is understandable). I think there was a separate classical music thread but it got buried into obscurity.

Been listening to a lot of Placebo and Metric, lately, as well as a couple post-rock bands and the general melancholic feeling in a lot of their music really speaks to me

Which post-rock bands?

And Placebo is good. I think I've liked a few Metric songs here and there.

A lot of explosions in the sky, at the moment. A little bit of mogwai, and even some of electrelane's songs play into that genre

One of the best Kraftwerk songs. Especially the first 3 minutes.
