2013 kind of sucked for me, but here's my list:

Snoop Lion - Reincarnated - 9.3/10
Ariana Grande - Yours Truly - 9/10
Tinashe - Black Water - 8.8/10
M.I.A. - Matangi - 8.7/10
Katy Perry - PRISM - 8.6/10
Zendaya Coleman - Zendayan - 8.6/10
Kacey Musgraves - Same Trailer Different Park - 8.6/10 (yes, this rating is for a country album...hell has officially frozen over :p )
Chance the Rapper - Acid Rap - 8/10
Chezidek - The Order of Melchezedik - 8/10
Protoje - The 8 Year Affair - 8/10

The rest are rated less than an 8 and weren't that significant...some are just downright horrid (*cough* *cough*Drake*cough* *cough*).

however, seeing as i've listened to a lot of stuff from 2013 that i hadn't heard this year, this will probably have changed a lot

10. Kanye West - Yeezus
9. Death Grips – Government Plates
8. The National – Trouble Will Find Me
7. Oneohtrix Point Never – R+7
6. Julia Holter – Loud City Song
5. Grouper – The Man Who Died at Sea
4. John Grant – Pale Green Ghosts
3. Fuck Buttons – Slow Focus
2. Dean Blunt – The Redeemer
1. Matthew E. White - Big Inner

I gave both the Death Grips and Fuck Buttons albums quite a high rating, as well. But like I said, I had to prioritize.

Damn, I don't think I could actually do specific songs.

I approve of a lot of those but most of them, unsurprisingly, I've never heard.

Completely ignoring that you just called the second best selling album in history overrated, if you liked the Barrett stuff you should check out his solo albums (if you haven't already). I myself really couldn't get into it but if you're a psych fan it's worth looking at.

yeah I think I might do

Admittedly though, most of the appeal of Interstellar Overdrive is in that introductory riff for me

and as Corrian noted, it could be the biggest selling album of all time and that wouldn't make me like it any more

Sales have nothing to do with quality. If you think something being popular means it's not overrated than you don't really understand the point of "overrated" as a concept. (I love DSOTM, for the record.)

I'm pretty into Pachuco Cadaver and Sugar 'n Spikes myself. Just some really cool guitar interplay on those ones.

The concept of something being "overrated" itself is dumb. You're basically saying that something is objectively worse then it is subjectively perceived which doesn't even make any sense.
