I really just can't stand Ulfric. I mean at first I thought he was great but when I saw how segregated and awful Windhelm is and the amount of racism that was there I couldn't stand it. Sure the Thalmor is pretty racist too, but I don't think they're nearly as bad. The Imperials, when you really think about it actually care about keeping the peace. They agreed to remove Talos from their official religion to appease the elves who disagreed with the hubris of men who elevated another man to the level of a god. I'm sure there were some involved in making that agreement who were avid worshippers of Talos, but to prevent any further bloodshed they sacrificed their own happiness.

Well, the Stormcloaks are a bit better I'd say. They have a noble goal of worshipping Talos openly, but it's tainted by their racism and the fact that people could keep quietly worshipping Talos anyway before Ulfric kicked up a fuss. I don't see the Stormcloaks completely overthrowing the sovereignty of foreign nations, conducting pogroms, and so on.
