Oh really? I would say the Thalmor are more like a Cladestine or Catholic inquisition, we aren't the ones pushing the message of a Nordic master race. And you kill every Altmer? You don't seem to have a reason to say so, you know, considering how you just showed you're a murderer.

Since "era" isn't tied to any exact number of years, as in, not all eras are as long, it would be more appropriate to say that they are ~1000 years apart rather than 2 eras.

The situation is....
The Empire is rotting of it's own decay, collapsing if you will.
The Stormcloaks are a band of rebels, the moment they throw the Empire out of Skyrim, they will be weakened. Wounded, in need of recovery. We can just ride in and put the rebellion down.
We already are more powerful than both factions, the Empire and Stormcloaks cannot win in this situation.
