Richard Wagner - Die Walkure - Ride of the Valkyries

Going through 3CD compilation called "Dark Side of the Classical Music". Basically classical music that influenced rock and metal genres. First disc is called Classical Heavy Metal, second one is Classical Death Metal and third one is Classical Speed Metal. Despite the names, there's absolutely no metal found here, it's all classical.

Another who likes classical music on the side. We have similar interests.

Blue Food - Chef!

Great album, worth my $8,-, sadly the physical release isn't available anymore.

Yay.

Tchaikovsky - Marche Slave, Op. 31

I was thinking why this sounded so familiar. Quick Wikipedia search > used in Metal Heart by Accpet. So that's why.

I saw Def Leppard on GTA V was classified as "Heavy metal" and I didn't think it sounded metal at all.

Classifications in games are pretty vague and commonly "wrong".

Metallica - Trapped Under Ice.

In my opinion, best song on Ride the Lightning.

It was classified as that by the DJ in the game. Probably intentionally wrong to pick on the radio, knowing that game.

Ahleuchatistas-Second Self

This avant-garde, math rock, jazz fusion, drone, noise band is great.

Giuseppe Verdi - The Force of Destiny - Overture

Seems like the best pieces on this CD were in the beginning. Two pieces left, I shall listen them before going to sleep. Continuing with second disc tomorrow after work.

Ahleuchatistas-Israel

This band has very scattered music patterns, kind of like Kayo Dot has, which is why I like them.

Like this song is all chill and mellow with a very out of place drum beat feel.

Your nation is like a son. What it does right is your merit, as well as what it does wrong is your fault. When you praise it, be lucid and avoid exaggeration. Praising it too much can make it indolent. On the other hand, when you criticize it, be harsh, but do not ridicule it. Do your best to improve it, not through derision or disdain, but through good examples and dedication.

Rotting Christ - The Mystical Meeting
CVT Temp wrote:I mean, we can actually create a mathematical definition for evolution in terms of the evolutionary algorithm and then write code to deal with abstract instances of evolution, which basically equates to mathematical proof that evolution works. All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.
