I said mostly, not entirely. Although, if you think about it both interpretations can make sense. It's unlikely that a civilization would only send two people to find a new home for them, especially when one of those two people is one of the leaders of the civilization and you're on the brink of war. And you certainly send out more than one party. It could be that a couple of expeditions found Equestria in the autumn and were stranded there during the winter. As supplies dwindled, the three groups turned on each other—as a result of past tensions and an ongoing argument about who found what first, fulfilling the greed aspect—and once the fighting died down, used the bodies to keep themselves alive until spring.

..... Y'know, maybe Ceffy is right and we should stop applying fridge horror to Equestria. I'm starting to unsettle myself.

And maybe Ameri is right and we're thinking about this too hard.

So, cutie marks are supposed to be unique, right? Well... there are only so many things that could be cutie marks. What happens when the limit is reached?

It would take a lot of ponies to reach the limit, but I suppose it's possible.
Not sure what happens, I guess repeats start to occur.

As an additional thought, would the fact that cutie marks are unique mean that in the long run, ponies as a whole have no weaknesses?

As long as they work together this is correct, in theory.

Of course ponies like people don't always work together.

If everypony is talented at something, but no two ponies have the exact same talent, and ponies can just keep multiplying as each generation passes, does that mean that there is nothing ponies can't do at some point or another?

I say this because in The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, it seems like competition between business is unheard of, or something only jerks and bullies would do. There's no real competition between business to speak of in Equestria. The economy of Equestria also seem to be driven by small businesses rather than big corporations.

That's my thoughts anyways.

Well we haven't really seen much of the more business centric stuff in the way of competition. I think TSSCS6000 is a bit misleading when you consider ponyville is a small town it's unlikely the Apples would have to worry about much cider competition.

Perhaps an interesting opening for a Rarity episode seeing as she runs her own fashion business.
Or maybe Pinkie Pie running a business, that would make an interesting episode.

Surnames are dubious in MLP. We are not sure what the ponies' last names are. The show seemed to never talk about them in great detail. The closest we have is the Cake family and the Apple family, those might be last names.

In regards to Equestria's economy. Filthy Rich's story from when he was giving his talk about how Barnyard Bargains rose to prominence indicates a Capitalist Equestria, or at least partially capitalist.

BTW, isn't season 4 supposed to start soon? Curious to see how they play the plot now that the mane six are out of balance now that Twilight's got wings. Hoping they don't end up retconning it or some garbage to revert things to the status quo.
