Reruns. It's a bitch to schedule, like, fifty thirty-minute episodes in one time slot, and also squeeze in one hour-long episode once. It's easier if all episodes are the same length.

Even so, it's not much to have a "Special length premier episode" and then have a slightly different cut for reruns. What's the point in having an end of episode cliffhanger That's gonna be resolved in what, five minutes?

Start over? But I though I was doing fine! Also it's taken me over a decade of observing from outside the zone of friendship to get where I am now. I'm working on it, ok?

Too much work, it's just easier to have the premier be two separate episode already.

The point is to not deathmurder the audience with suspense. We've been waiting for months for that premier! We want a resolution!

I think the first season premier was the only time we had to wait for an entire week for part two.

EDIT: We had to wait for part two on the Season 2 premier as well.

So. To an earlier point, 'bout an hour ago now, my apologies, scheduled things and whatwhosits.

Rule 63. I tire of feminine '63s of the ponies. Notably Elusive, i figure he'd be the exact opposite of Rarity, rather than being a lady in men's clothing he'd be a proper genetlemen with the suave.... Suaveness, you'd expect a proper gentleman to have. Thankfully ponies such as Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash tend to have interchangable-with-men personalities but there still should be alterations that would fit.

And hopefully less dreadful names, it's not hard to come up with something better than Bubble Berry or Butterscotch. Even the name Elusive isn't quite proper I don't think.

R63 isn't quite done right in this fandom yet and I see that as sort of a problem since the subject has a solid following.

Well, I wouldn't know about that. I wasn't a Brony back then! Hadn't even heard of the show...

Wake up tied to a bed, looking at Rarity's closet shrine to me.

I've gotten out of worse situations.

Elusive would be a suave male.
The r63 names are a bit odd, but then again, Some of the pony names seem to be a bit odd once you think about it.
I see a lot of Dusk and Blitz, that's because Twilight and RD are quite easy to genderswap.

Well yeah half the team has a relatively androgynous personality set. Shoot let's look at Fluttershy/Butterscotch. Men and Women do react to things differently, doesn't the idea of Shy(guy) running that animal house, as it may as well be, kind of intrigue you? Less motherly, perhaps more fatherly? could be seriously interesting.

And yes, I think most of us could easily agree that Elusive just ain't portrayed right. Why's he gotta' be a total fop? Rarity's a proper lady, a guy version of her would be the exact counterpart to it. Again, Twi, Dash, they can suddenly be dudes and have literally no change what so ever.

Hmm. I suppose Butterscotch would be a fatherly animal caretaker. He is shy and introverted, like his regular mare version, therefore Butterscotch would rather spend time with animals than ponies.
Elusive is usually shown as Rarity with a penis and a different shaped head, so many people ask "Is Elusive gay?" Since he is a fop, but he is Camp Straight or metro. Rarity was indicated to be attracted to stallions, so Elusive is attracted to mares.

Thank you. That's the biggest problem with Rule 63. I wouldn't put it past Elusive to shoot both ways to a degree, Rarity either, but they're both predominantly if not entirely straight. That's just a fact.

And I figure that Dusk would oddly enough be Shining Armor in many ways (If you've read the comic, you know exactly what I mean.)

That is a solid list btw

Yeah, Dusk Shine would kind of be like Shining Armor, thus Gleaming Shield is like Twilight, but they have different colors and fates.

Kayo's list was pretty bang-on.
