Not that I have a lot of music (currently) beyond what is on Spotify, but still.

I wish you could, but I meant like from Spotify or your own music library, or whatever. Like sometimes when I get bored with the radio, I plug my phone into my boombox and play my own music.
Probably should have clarified that. :p

Ahh, I don't own a cellphone, and blasting music in the living room would probably be annoying for the rest of the people in my house anyway.

Ahh. Los Santos. Getting tazed by crazy hillbillies. Eaten by alive by sharks. Leading police choppers into windfields. Kidnapping and tying a man to a pole underneath the pier. The package includes a realistic mugging, drug dealing, and firsthand experience as a hostage in a bank robbery, all free! All it costs is $1000 per person. Make sure to bring pocketfuls of cash for, uh, recreational purposes. You'll see all these sights and more with Trevor Philips Tourist Enterprises!

  • Take your finger off the accelerator when going around corners sharper than 'curve in the road'. You will lose speed, but for the beginning you probably lack the skill to be able to judge which corners exactly can be gone at full pelt, what point in cornering you can apply the accelerator, how much to do so by etc.
  • When using the handbrake on sharp corners, you may notice you spin out some times. You can tell if it's starting to spin out, because as you make a turn you can almost imagine a predicted line along which you should slide, like Scalextrix. If you start to overshoot that line, or your rear end is sliding out, then try turning away from the curve momentarily, this can cause your car to straighten.
  • If a police van is parked on the road in your path on a motorway, it will probably be blocking a single one of two lanes - ram between the side of the road and the end of the van that blocks a lane. If you go across the cleared lane, there is probably a spike strip there.
  • Learn to know which cars are good (e.g. Karin Futo) and which are bad (e.g. Fathom FQ2) at handling, dodging through traffic etc.
  • Motorbikes are easier to use, but if (/when) you fuck up, the effects will be magnified. :p

Thanks, I'll definitely need to take advantage of that advice immediately. I've seen the affects of crashing with a motorbike. I was so pissed because I had to start that whole repo mission again. :palm:. A guy only just learning to drive should not have to shoot out of a moving vehicle that I'm also driving. :p. And even though I was pissed, there was a significant amount of humor to be found in just how far I flew. :)

I can do that sometimes, or hit a tire, but it's still a pain. I wish more people used motorcycles online.

I'm only familiar with the PS2 era Grand Theft Auto games excluding GTA4. For those who have GTA5 I wanted to ask if there are still paramedic, vigilante, firefighter, etc side missions that must be done for 100%?

There're the Strangers and Freaks missions, and there're some random events scattered around, but not really.

I hope they actually put forth effort in this one, GTA IV didn't have any vehicle larger than a damn armored van and it lacked everything its predecessors had. Fire spread, rural areas, a multiplayer campaign, vehicle diversity, etc.

Thanks to San Andreas, I still keep my Playstation 2.

The best fun I've had is running away from the cops on foot or running away from someone on foot.
It's fun because they're always right on your ass and you gotta parkour your ass every where or die.

Just had an amazing game today.
It first happened as soon as I got out of my apartment. I turn over to my left and see a cargobob with it's pilot out of it fighting tons of cops all around the place. I have no clue what's going on, but as soon as I see he's ran far enough, I steal helicopter. However, he gets pissed as all hell and shoots me until I'm smoking. I get away, then get a text saying there's a premium car Simeon wants. So, I fly on over to the parking lot it's in and hitch the damn thing on the hook and fly away. Next thing I notice is all these white blips on the radar coming towards me as tons of other players start racing to steal the thing away from me. It was an epic troll.

I try to drop the car near a pay-n-spray in town, but angry players kept waiting there for me, so I went to the one farthest away from the city. I park the chopper not far from the pay-n-spray, paint the car, and see the chopper has despawned. So, I speed as fast as I can towards the docks to get paid, when all of a sudden this rich 101-level starts chasing me down and completely shoots up my car. I try to shoot back and give him the slip, but he pops my tires and I only get halfway to the docks before he kills me. Anyway, I spawn back and was just walking around, minding my own business when the rich asshole( same guy) puts a 9000 dollar bounty on me and 2 other people in the lobby. I immediately run over to a car and drive into the country side. I drive until I find a boat, then I move far away offshore, so I can watch people while I'm eating. Then, the epic ensued.

After I finished eating, I decide to sail over to the other side of the map to see if I could drive anyway out so I could kill them. And out of nowhere, 2 missiles barely miss my boat and then this buzzard crashes into the water in front of me. The pilot gets out, and I mentally debate to either kill him or leave him there to rot. Then I shoot him after failing to run over him with the boat. So, I keep moving over until I'm in the ocean on the left side of the map, and I start moving towards land to see if I can draw anyone out. As I get closer to these industrial docks, a cargobob tries to kamikaze the boat and fails. I shotgun the pilot, and carry on until the same buzzard from before shows up again and tries to missile me. I speed up and he fails to hit me. I keep speeding along until I get close to a beach and beach the boat with a sharp turn. The pilot tries to compensate for it, but fails and crash lands the buzzard onto the beach. I snipe him in the face before he gets a chance to get a round off at me. Now here comes the best part.

I get in the buzzard, but it's pretty damaged. So I keep going, minding my own business. I wanted to get on the very north part of the map so I could be safe and so I could eat. However, the buzzard craps out over the windmill farm, and I die. I spawn back, stranded, and with enemies nearby since another player with a bounty on them is just a stone's throw away with 3 guys on his ass. So I just sit back with my sniper rifle, hoping someone comes by to keep my bullets company. I watch from the hills of the windmill farm as the bounty player fights off 3 men as best he can. I trollingly shoot a few rounds at him, hoping I hit him to get the cash, but didn't actually think my bullets went that far. I keep doing this until he gets killed, and all his hunters disperse. However, as they were going away, there was one driving away on a motorcycle. I aimed ahead of him, and shot. I hit him from a mile away while on a moving motorcycle. He was at half health, but I felt accomplished. I notice no other hunters have gotten closer on the map, so I let my guard done to finish eating. Then, the battle began.

The buzzard( same guy from the last 2 times) comes by, shooting his missiles and misses horribly. I try to snipe him out, but I only wound him and damage his buzzard pretty badly. So 2/3 reasons not to mess with me was pretty good. However, as I was patting myself on the back, the rich 101-leveled douch( same one who put the bounty and shot my car) kills me and claims the bounty. Pissed as all hell, I make it my life's mission to kill him to lose most of that bounty money. What entailed after that was various gunfights onto of the hills of the windmill farm. We somehow drew the attention of a cargobob who tried to winch his car away he was driving, but I gun him in his car before the troll player got his chance. He came back and RPG'ed the troll and we continued fighting. I was even able to dodge an airstrike and gun down a helicopter he called in. I actually was able to reclaim $1000 from collecting the cash he dropped when died. Eventually, the score went 7 him, 8 me, so I called it square and ran off. I stole a van, and he chased me down in his sportscar before I could get far away. He threw sticky bombs at me, hoping to get one off. I dodged about 5 of them before he finally got me.

Sad thing is, I probably only used about 1000-2000 dollars worth of ammo from all of that. Yet he spent so much trying to fight me and only got the score even. I guess money can't always win your fights.
