Like I said maybe if you did the deed in the Crystal Empire there'd be no sovereignty issues. (Braeburn can have a vacation to you know).

Further technically we don't know the status of the Crystal Empire, totally independent of Equestria? A protectorate or territory? A semi autonomous region? Not to mention as for actual laws on Equestria I don't think we've seen much royal authority actually being used with most action being taken by local governments. The royalty itself seems pretty laizzes-faire about the whole thing.

In short we need more information.

JLI was very well-recieved when it first came out, despite being made mostly of B-list superheroes... Kind of like background super-heroes.

Hence, they replaced them all with the background ponies that the fanbase gave character to on the cover of their first issue.
