I need to read Dirk Gently when I finish up my current readings.

You must have watched the BBC episodes by now, right? They're not quite Adams' quality, but they channel his humour and silliness well.

They also star Stephen Mangan, who I could watch all day.

One.

That is no excuse. You should watch them both at the same time. With multiple screens. There is so much British comedy, you're going to need more than just the one desktop monitor. You know that big thing they had in Batman, where he radio-ises the phones? Like that, but each one showing a different program. It's the only way you Americans can be truly educated. *nods*

Which is to say - burn in hell. But also, they're awesome, are awesome, are really fucking awesome, but they also fit quite well. They killed the First in a roundabout way, so that's a nice nod back, and they were the Second's main enemy. Eleven takes a lot of inspiration from the Second, and I'm fairly sure Matt has said they're his favorite monster.

That said, they probably won't come alone. They might be who the Doctor fights at Trenzalore, but I get the feeling that the Silents or Angels will be about as well.

Moffat did say they would sum up pretty much all of Eleven's storylines, if I recall right.

We still haven't figured out where exactly Clara and the Doctor are in She said, He said, the "prequel" trailer they released.

It may be utterly unimportant, but who knows?

True.

I think it's non-canon, though.

It would be funny if it was the memory-storage room of the TARDIS and it just conjures up stuff from previous adventures within the confines of that room.

It'd give you something else to gripe about.

As for the Daleks, Methinks you had too high expectations for their First appearence.

You should really go try and watch some other episodes than. I recommend City of Death or the Key to Time Arc as good starting points.

Which is quite stupid of you as the show has been around for 50 years and it'd be fairly obvious that the Daleks have changed since then.

Not that The Daleks is a particularly great episode, but the Daleks haven't been much better.

I don't actually like the Daleks all too much. Their design is cool, though.

In the post series-5 universe, did any of the end of season 4 actually happen in the rebooted universe? I mean, Amy couldn't remember the Daleks, so did they still carry out their bullshit plan, or did Amy write them out when she rebooted the universe?
