Nat: Night's always in some bizarre state somewhere between "intoxicated enough to kill a hair metal lead singer" and "annoying Mormon missionary sober".
Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.

That Italian guy in Turn Left.
He and Wilf were probably the only good parts of that episode.

It's an interesting premise.
The execution didn't reach the full potential, and Rose makes me sad, but it's still a fairly good episode.
As I told Astro a little bit ago, there's a little moment that I really, really like in it, because it's so subtle.
So, you know the bit when the Italian guy is getting carted off by the government? The obvious parallel they're trying to draw is that the British have become no better than the Nazis. They mumble something about camps or labor or whatever, and Wilf gets this really distant look and says "That's what they called them last time".
But Wilf is wrong. That's not what's happening at all. Why?
Because the Cybermen theme is playing.

Well, yeah. I noted that first off.

It's like an old guy Torchwood.
Speaking of which, I'm still waiting on the Jack and River Show.

There are some people who are whining that they should just make more Torchwood.
These people are stupid and wrong.

Torchwood is good and a very interesting premise. Unlike Doctor Who, RTD really comes into his own there because everyone is a human and RTD can write those well. Like we noted, he's a good writer when he can write his own domestic science fiction- and that's what Torchwood is.

Davies has pretty much moved on from Who; he is also, I am given to understand, at a very tumultuous point in his life right now. The last I heard, his boyfriend (or husband, not sure) is very sick, so he hasn't been working much as of late.
I would like to see Moffat do a spin-off when he leaves, and Jack and River seem like the best one.

But those two have never interacted before, right?

Sontarans. No, not The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky "RAAAAAH, SONTAR-HA!" Sontarans, or even Strax Sontarans (though more Strax is a good thing), but the Robert Holmes Sontarans.
They whisper, they hiss, they brainwash people, and, most of all, they're geniuses.

Oh, please. I've seen 5 different Sy-Fy shows exactly like Torchwood. And they didn't have an annoying manslut for a main character.
