The (Regenerated) Doctor Who Discussion Thread

I want something to happen: towards the end of a regeneration, the 12th Doctor gets an old female companion to replace Clara. Then when he regenerates, the new Doctor (either son or daughter) could then ask his/her mother "Are you my mummy?" and then cue the credits.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean, but I probably don't like it.

The joke is that the actor is the son/daughter of the mother, and is a subtle reference to the Empty Child.
