I recommend checking out [Alt-J - Tessellate] and [Bastille - Bad Blood] if you want to hear something new.

Musically it's funeral doom but vocals give it a gothic twist. Also, "fun" fact: 2 out of 5 band members have committed suicide >.>

...This really does seem kind of weak for them. I don't mind a band evolving out of things like metal at all, but turning into a Japanese pop rock band doesn't seem like a particularly very good way to go, in the sense that the 'j-pop', 'j-rock' style is usually bland and generic.

I would say it is better than most stuff in that style I've heard, but still.

The next thread of this type should have a change in the title, if you ask me. "What music are you listening to right now?" as a base title should help against nonsensical posts about people listening to dogs barking and similar stupidity.
