Fairy tale + space. Innovative, yes, but it's somewhat disheartening to see so many guys herald it as the apex of cinema.

the best movie ever has yet to be made. it would have a lot of 3d-fx and no cars or guns. what sex, if any, would be an integral part of the story. the story would involve science and technology and avoid city streets, suburbia, and the idea of agrictulture being the only alternative to them. it might even be as much about places as people. imanginary create, possibly even alien places. and the strangeness would be the friendly and the familiar the mosterous. small form factor trains and alternative energy would be the everyday given's of its environment. and it wouldn't be about people hating or wanting to beat up on each other, nor about governments doing so either. it would be more about building and creating then destroying anything. and little furry creatures would be the good guys too, but without rediculous distortions about them to make them so.

there have been some pretty darn good ones.
i'm just no better at remembering the names of them then i am at remembering the names of people, and i'm no good at that at all.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

"economic freedom" is "the cake"

Let me tell you something about the movies, they suck. They are a huge let-down. The first one was alright. Just alright. But the Lost World was nothing. I repeat NOTHING like the book. They deleted characters, created Malcom's PC daughter, dinosaurs in the book were absent from the movie, and nobody was trying to create a fucking theme park in LA. The third one? What the fuck was that? I felt like the script was written by a stoned Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, while they were balls deep into an Asian hooker doing the spitroast, as they had paper and quill on her back! Alright?

And fyi, Sarah, a noted whatever fucking-iologist, would not have brought the baby t-rex inside. Because in nature, there is not this miraculous "let's save the baby cuz think of the children" mentality by people who spend their entire days and nights around animals in their natural habitat. Sarah in the book got that. Sarah in the movie apparently forgot all about that and *ding ding* activated her maternal instincts and applied it to a freaking reptile.

Well I saw the movies before I read the books, so I understand. But as a kid, I was obsessed with dinosaurs as a result of the JP movies. And when I read the books and found out just how off they were, I was....disappointed.
