Funny video game ideas

Postby United Gordonopia » Fri Nov 20, 2009 11:18 pm

So, do you have any funny video game ideas?

Right now, I just thought of a great one: World War Two, the Fighting Game.

You'd have FDR fighting in his wheel chair, hitler fighting, all the national leaders. They'd all have finishing moves (FDR's nuke, Hitlers Holocaust, Tojo's Kamikaze, Stalin's massive pileup of men, Mussolini's... something). It'd be so awesome.

Another idea would be a revolutionary war FPS... with muskets. You know, you take a shot, reload it over like a minute, take another shot, bayonet charge, etc.

I also like The Onion's Modern Warfare 3.
If you ever have an RPing question, please TG me about it.

Already exists in the form of various musket era mods for various FPS games, most notably the napoleonic and ACW mods for Operation Flashpoint.

Actually for british troops in the American revolution you would be looking at upto 4 shots per minute, possibly as high as 6.

Now the awesomeness of OFP mods is that you can mix just about any mod set you want with another, thus allowing you to fulfil all your time travel/alt history scifi wet dreams.

Now if you were to make a stand alone game for musket era stuff you woudl of course have to make a quick time event for the reloading sequence with getting it wrong including such hilarious consequences as miss fires, over primed pans, swallowing the bullet and firing your loading rod at the enemy (with the resultant hilarious flogging to folllow should you survive). Although saying that I would imagine that such a game would focus on the hundreds of small light infantry and settlement raiding encounters where the player's ability might actually make a difference to his continued survival, the sheer randomness of the bigger set piece battles would make the D-day level of MoH look fair (load level, ramp opens, dead. reload level, ramp opens, dead. reload level, ramp opens, 2 steps forward, dead repeat adinfinitum until that one random chance where you make it all the way up to the base of the cliff without actually trying).

anyway...

I do however love the Mordern Warfare 3 controler for the wii ;)

Damage Control.

Ever wonder who cleans up the city after the heroes and villains have their fight? well it's now your job.

you have to reconstruct, and improve cities for the next superhero/Super villain fight. and as the levels increase, so does the super beings. boss fights include Superman vs Doomsday, Xmen vs Apocolypse, and the final boss? Godzilla vs all the other monsters!
on the other hand... I have another set of fingers.

Unscramble these words...1) PNEIS. 2)HTIELR 3) NGGERI 4) BUTTSXE
1) SPINE. 2) LITHER 3)GINGER 4)SUBTEXT

That would actually be a decent game. I've always liked Sim City type games, and this one would have some nice action and destruction thrown in.

Seriously, try to sell this idea to someone. I'd certainly play it. :)

I can't really think of any "funny" game ideas myself. Humor isn't really my thing most of the time.

WW1 FPS/RPG. You spend choose a background, a country, go through training, end up in the trenches, and spend time taking potshots at the guy across from you.

After a few enemy charges over dead mans land, in which you watch as they get killed by artillery fire and machine guns, you notice that all this playing time has paid off, you're up to level thirty!

And then a charge over dead man's land is ordered. Fix bayonets...

And try again. And there is no multiple saving for the same character, it'll be just like a roguelike!

Oh, wait, funny video game ideas, not rage inducing ones. My bad. :p

Grand Theft Broomstick

Its GTA in the Harry potter universe!
It just looks like a retarded facial expression. It kinda looks like if it was horny and then had a seizure at the same time.
I know what your thinking. you are wondering, "Why is that sexy Man hanging out on the computer." well, i dont know the answer to that.
Yesterday i was walking around, and this little girl came up to me. I said "God
Dora, i dont know where GumDrop muntain is! Do your parents know where you are? Do they even care? They let you play with a bull! A God Damn Bull! And a dirty little Monkey!"

Mom: Does it hurt?
Son: It hurts worse then the time i got a handjob from Edward Scissorhands

Maybe, in a future Grand Theft Auto game in which, when the main character is hit by a train it stops the train dead on its tracks without hurting the character, which would be a reference to the theory that a fly could stop an InterCity train.

Sims 5: Meta-Sims:
In the latest installment of the popular PC game, players control the lives of virtual people ("Sims"), as in the previous games. The gimmick? These Sims are even more like real people in that they spend all of their waking time play Sims. Why just play a computer game when you can play a computer game within a computer game?

A fighting game where your characters are Sports Mascots.

I like this idea, but it needs more flesh to it a main storyline perhaps. Where you get to follow around one sport mascot through a life of crime and performance, living on the edge. (I mean let's face it has there ever been a game that hasn't tried to be on the edge that is interesting?)

Well it would be slightly twisted and enlivened with the inclusion of apparently sentient construction machines in the death dealing. Esspecailly if they maintain constant manic grins and gleeful voices as they slaughter people.

How about an ultra-realistic future FPS?

Where, you know, you don't have projectile weapons, or lasers that have recoil.

And then you could have space battles, but the ships would be realistic and realistically sized, with radiation shielding and the like.

It would just throw everyone for a loop.
