It's a stylistic graphic adventure game. Film noir meets Aztec mythology meets the Western personification of death.

I should mention Bio Shock 2. But mostly, what I really enjoyed about that game was the Soundtrack.

The Galactic Terran Empire is a multi-species expansionist Empire. Foreign species manage their own sectors, but are welcome to travel throughout imperial territory. New alien subjects are treated fairly and allowed the same freedoms as Terrans, Insectoids, Reptiloids and other sentient species of the Empire.

I don't have a favorite because there are too many that can be called good. But I'm currently playing DBZ Budokai 3 via a PS2 emulator in my spare time. For it's time- it was the best DBZ game to date, but I'm not familiar with how some more recent ones compare. I do mainly fighting, stealth, first and third person shooters, with some occasional flight simulators.

So many to choose from.

You've got: Star Wars Battlefront (1+2), Mass Effect (up until the ending of 3), Bioshock, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, CoD 1-5, Red Dead Redemption, Forza, Burnout 3, GTA, Total War series, Dawn of War series, Half-Life, Portal, Company of Heroes, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Elder Scrolls, Farcry 3 and Counter Strike.

For me it would have to be, Portal 2 & Civ V (with Brave New World + Gods + Kings).

The Portal Series in general is brilliant, a good mix of First Person Puzzler with that much personality and creativity that really marries Gameplay and Narrative in such a great way. Then there's the Multiplayer Test Chambers and the absolutely brilliant modding community. GLaDoS, Wheatley, Cave Johnson and even the Turrets are so well written that the game is a joy to play and despite their personalities, the game still manages to feel lonely and dark. An test facility that's been over-run by nature after the first game's events and even the later-game test chambers (which I won't spoil, just in case) are just so great.

As for Civilization V, until Brave New World, hands down, Civ IV: Beyond the Sword has been my favorite RTS Game. I've dabbled in other games, mainly ones by Paradox but I've never really had the time to play them and when I do have time for a RTS Game, I always go for Civilization. The game is so accessible that it's just easy to boot up and start a game. Especially now we have the World Congress and the New Cultural Victory.

EDIT: Also forgot Far Cry 3. That game is brilliant and it's expandalone, Blood Dragon is just as unique and a great homage to the 80's. It's the throwback to the 80's Duke Nukem Forever should have been.

Also up here is Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, my favorite in the series. Rayman Legends + DKC: Tropical Freeze are looking to be my favorite Platformers of all time, alongside Super Meat Boy. Bioshock 1 is still my favorite FPS Game, despite it's lack of difficulty. Xenoblade Chronicles, Earthbound (Not for gameplay, that had some terrible design choices such as the Homesick Weakness, but it had such great charm and character) or Dragon Quest 9 are my favorite JRPG's and Oblivion is my favorite Western RPG. (Speaking of which, I got Final Fantasy VII in the Summer Sale, I'm late to the party but I'll finally be able to see what all the fuss is about) For nostalgia purposes, my favorite game as a child was Crash Bandicoot and looking back it the original trilogy still holds up well and is a blast to play, with Twinsanity also being super fun to play.

Depends on the category.

FPS: Either Halo, CS:GO or BF2, but these are because I only really do FPSs to relax and never take them seriously.
RTS: EU3. Or Vicky 2, but that was slightly buggy for me.
TBS: Alpha Centauri, followed by Civ II and Civ V.
RPG: Skyrim for graphics/scenery, Morrowind for story/detail.
Others: Assassin's Creed has never let me down for a fun time. However, I've never played 3 which isn't as good, apparently.

Special mention must go to Doom for still being fun after 20 years of existence and outmoded graphics and gameplay.

No it's not, Legend of Zelda is very good.
There are 3-4 different endings in Mass Effect 3, you got an ending you didn't like.
